I got the final right because I'm bad at math.

Damn that’s sad news, pancreatic cancer for Alex Trebek. My wife’s dad is going through the same thing right now.

Wow, that's terrible.  Also, I had no idea he was almost 80.  He looks great.

Trebek has STAGE 4 PANCREATIC CANCER

Why in the hell is he going to keep hosting?  Find that man a mountain of cocaine and some high class hookers. Why waste time hosting the same damn game show for the 35th year? Live damn you!

Yeah, my grandfather died of pancreatic cancer. It was ugly. Hope both trebek and your FIL beat it.

As far as I understand, next to zero chance either of them will. Trebek especially since he’s 80. FIL is only in his 50s but I still think his chances are scant.

Yeah. It's a death sentence. I just didn't want to say hope they are both comfortable as possible.

The answer is,

"Green Bananas, Yogurt, a full tank of gas and an entire book of stamps."

Watching Jeopardy while waiting for the championship coverage to start.

Some nerd is sitting on $43k going into Final Jeopardy.

Unfortunately his lead is so big he can wager zero and still win so he'll probably play it safe.

What is the most anyone has won on Jeopardy in a single episode?

Seems like Ken probably has a few six figure games.

Eta: he wagered $7k and finishes with just over $50k, 3 day total of $130k, not too shabby

Roger Craig is the holder of the all-time record for single-day winnings on Jeopardy!. On the episode that aired September 14, 2010, he amassed a score of $47,000 after the game's first two rounds, then wagered and won an additional $30,000 in the Final Jeopardy! round, finishing with $77,000. The previous single-day record of $75,000 had been set by Jennings. (wikipedia)

Is it true he didn't know the fieldgoal answer?

Yes, the question was about extra points, he didn't answer....none of them did.

To be fair I don't think they said what exact sports he bets, so maybe football isn't where he makes his living. I don't know enough about betting but when he makes those odd dollar amount bets I wonder if he is crunching the numbers, figuring out EV and such?

Guy with the weird smile is killing it so far.

Plus he does what I think all contestants should do..He goes BIG time on daily doubles.

Yesterday he had 10K and risked it all.

Guy hardly misses on a question.  I think he dropped one out of everyone he answered.

Plus, he has the button timing down.
