In the 14 team league I’m in, last season we went from a ppr to a non ppr.

And that was a great change.

We will be going non ppr again this season.

I voted it's fine the way it is. But I can see how it can make for a great debate. With the pass happy league that the NFL has turned into. Teams are throwing more, players are catching more, 3 down backs aren't really the name of the game anymore. Essentially, the very reason that ppr came into existence is now absolute.

Interesting. I'm not opposed to non-PPR, but I do like having some tweaks to the league so that it's not just a straight standard league.

Which is way we went to a ppr to tweak things up.

Which is also why after being in ppr leagues for so long that going back to a non ppr was tweaking things up.

Now maybe after this next season the league might reform back to a ppr format.

Thanks for the reply

I gotcha. I just like tweaking the standard settings. So if it's standard, then maybe I can add Big Plays to the mix too. Big Games too (like 400+ passing yards, 200+ rushing yards, etc.). Those bonuses can be cool.

Gotcha, and agree.

We have bonus scoring.

Need it lol.

Thanks.

im personally over full ppr

.5 ppr sounds just about right.

Catching a 1 yard catch shouldnt be the same as gaining 10 yards

Im also a big proponent of points per carry to award bell cow backs.   .2 points per carry

Agreed. 0.5 or 0.33 is fine with me. Get an extra bonus point for making 3 catches? I'm fine with that. It kinda makes sense tbh.

Uh, PPR was created to "even out" / bring up the value of WRs to RBs.  A decade or so ago, most of the first and second round picks would be RBs!

FWIW, I voted that PPR should be decreased to 0.5 points.  Especially after last season.  There were multiple different RBs who caught 10+ passes in a game.  WAY too generous at a point-per-reception!!

I don't play ppr. As others have said it was meant to make WRs more valuable, so fantasy drafts weren't all RBs in the first 3 rounds. Now that WRs have caught up to RBs, the only purpose it serves is to down play the importance of TDs, and make third down backs relevant to a fault.

And last season was very refreshing when the 14 teamer I’m in went back to being a non ppr.

a) tight ends should get 1.5 PPR and 0.12 points per yard.

b) the OP is a waste of time and makes FFToday worse.

c) There is no C.

honestly, its really about what the individual players in the league prefer.

by adjusting PPR to 1/2 PPR or no PPR (or whatever) all you are doing is adjusting the order you rank the players.   in the end it really does not matter.   what matters is your analysis on said players to maximize your points in whatever format you choose to use as a league.

I think it only matters when it comes to  injoyment.

Last season for me was the most injoyable in probably five or so seasons.

I found out just how much I prefer a non ppr over a ppr league.
