I noticed they had jumped about $.30 cents already over the past week or so... Will really feel it now.

Average gas prices are about 30% lower than they were 5 years ago.

The west side of houston looks normal, no smoke visible over here.

I am in the Galleria area and I can see the smoke out of my window.

Barely missed BP anniversary.

3/23/05

Right century, wrong month, day and year. 4/20/2010. I remember because Obama was president and he let the fat cats skate once again

I stand corrected. I assumed he was talking about the really big BP story that would be the first to come to someone's mind when you just mentioned "BP" and nothing else.  I guess I lost this thread. Carry on

Remember when gas reached $4.00+ / gallon about 8 years ago?

Green energy R&D cranked into full effect, which I read then caused the Saudi's to flood the market with oil and lower prices.  Lack of oil dependence is their worst nightmare and hopefully that will always keep prices somewhat in check.

Flooding in Nebraska will crush the corn crop. No ethanol production = higher gas prices.

Funny how natural disasters inflate fuel prices.

Kick 'em when they're down.

No, that's how gouging works.

I'm just saying that whenever there's a catastrophe, for example prices will go up $1.00 per gallon, but when things settle down it will will only come down half of what it rose. Also, they've been handling fuel now for 100 years, there shouldn't be any crazy stuff going on.

No worries. I wasn't specific. BP had about a four of them bad run between the one I was thinking of and deep water.

But as to your random Obama bash fail. 20 billion dollar fine? Largest in history anywhere.

Not a huge fan, but that was spot-on. I remember right,? he even threatened to kick somebody BP's ass. 😂

Couple f****** should have gone to prison. That was the huge fail.

Ironically, if you'd held onto your stock, BP is a huge buy right now.

I got to back big guys play here if for an entirely different reason. Spent a lot of years with commodities traders. S*** gets locked in 6 months ahead of time at a minimum. The fact that your little gas price board 3 blocks away from your house goes up by $0.40 overnight because something happened is actually b*******. The futures are already locked in. It's not like this s*** is determined like a restaurant menu running out of veal chops towards the end of the night.

The gas you're driving around on right now? Was locked in last fall.

The fire is finally out but it is hazy outside.  It looks like China or Mexico City right now.

Those limey b@stards are worst of the majors when it comes to safety.
