Elizabeth Warren showing her stupidity yet again (this time the Electoral College)...

Recommended Posts

https://freebeacon.com/politics/warren-calls-for-getting-rid-of-electoral-college/

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) said Monday she supported eliminating the Electoral College in presidential elections.

Speaking at a CNN town hall in Jackson, Mississippi, Warren laid out her proposed voting reforms to Democratic primary voters.

"We need to make sure that every vote counts," she said, before going on to say in presidential election years, candidates ignore states like Mississippi, as well as blue states like California and Massachusetts, because they're not battleground states.

"My view is that every vote matters, and the way we can make that happen is that we can have national voting, and that means get rid of the Electoral College," Warren said, to cheers and applause.

She's just saying anything and everything to get anyone to vote for her.

The problem is everyone sees right through the pandering and how fake she is.

She ruined her chances for president long before she even jumped in the race.

If voters ignore states like California, then let's just remove it from the polls.

Somebody should tell her that the reason we have an E.C. is so the votes of the people in places like South Dakota and Montana carry the same weight as the votes of the people in places like California and New York.

Or, in other words, sit down and shut up toots, the founding fathers already took care of that problem.

This is standard fare for the leftists now, and has been for some time really.

Think back to when the Dems eliminated the filibuster, just to get some immediate result, no thought to the future......and then the lamentation when it came back to bite them.

Everything they do is to steal power, at any cost, even the long term stability of this nation.  They are power-hungry, short-sighted, and increasingly evil in the way they behave and think. They are embracing evil as good, its sickening.

Somebody should explain to you how that is pretty the exact opposite reason why the electoral college was created(among a few others).

Feel free.

"...Supporters of the Electoral College argue that it is fundamental to American federalism, that it requires candidates to appeal to voters outside large cities, increases the political influence of small states..."

It's simple.  Get rid of the electoral college and hand the country over to the Dems and literally make the vote of every person in a small  or midwestern state meaningless.  Or keep it where both parties have a chance.  Which seems more fair?

Yeah, good luck getting enough small states to agree to a constitutional amendments that sh*ts on them, Elizabeth. I won't be over here holding my breath.

Perhaps the GOP should try to appeal to a majority of the country then, instead having to rely on a system that was designed to dilute votes, gerrymander districts and suppress voter turnout to get elected to office.

What does gerrymandering have to do with a presidential election?

This d|ck sucking wh0re has no chance. She's harming the D party by coming up with these stupid ideas. She's trying to fool black people with a fake bribe. She has no intentions of pursuing the stupidity of reparations if she gets elected.

The burden isn't on the GOP since the system is already in place to give smaller states a say.

The burden is on you to convince the smaller states to nullify any say they have in Presidential elections.

First, Colorado is apparently one of several States who are working to see to it that their electoral votes go to the winner of the national popular election. Which in effect does the same thing in eliminating the electoral college. But the provision is that it only comes into effect if I think all the states or something like that vote for a similar measure. So pretty worthless.

also, she immediately lost the minute she opened up her idiot mouth to say we should start talking about reparations. She might as well just stop now. There's no way she wins. There's no reason to continue raising money, no reason to bother campaigning. That is a. Deal killer for far too many Americans.

It comes into effect if all the states who signed up equal 270 EC votes.

It's stupid to even talk about reparations.  Can we move ever move forward?  People stuck in the past hoping to cash in.

If Hillary had won, the Democrats would be totally fine with the Electoral College.

Yep...it’s amazing too that she never campaigned in Wisconsin. She was so arrogant that she’d win it makes it so much better she lost. Hillary and the Dems will never accept that loss.

Nah, let her keep running. It'd be nice to see her take on Trump with this on her agenda because it's poltical death. Bye. Even if she somehow beats Trump, she'd have to get reparations through Congress.

Let's see, so far we need to abolish the Electoral College, lower the voting age, allow illegals and felons to vote, completely alter the SCOTUS....

FFS, you guys lost an election. Get over it already. Next time don't put the shittiest candidate possible on the ticket and your odds might improve a little.

This reparations talk is a great sign. Blexit is real and the libtards are in panic mode.  They have to have 90% of the black vote and a high turnout. Can't win without it.  Guarantee a black person is on the ticket.

Maybe if Hillary had spent a day or two in Wisconsin and Michigan, the Democrts wouldn't have these problems. If Trump and his unwashed supporters are the dumb ones, how come they're the only ones that know how to read a map?

That was my bad, in addition to the presidential election, I added congressional and state elections to way the GOP needs to compete on an uneven field to win offices without clarifying that.   My bad for over estimating your ability to follow that line of thinking.

It's idiotic to me, in this day and age with the access to information, that campaigning in a state or region has any effect on the way someone votes. Any rally or public speaking event can be found online. Electoral college made sense years ago before the internet became our main source of info.

Even after believing that, I think as of how where a candidate campaigns still has quite a bit of influence over voting in the area. People want to feel special, I guess. It seems important to keep the electoral college as it is for now.
