tanatastic 2,061 Posted March 24, 2019 Arnold by a landslide. You aren’t even on the male spectrum if you don’t love classic Arnold movies and worship him as an action movie god. He is the gold standard. He doesn’t have to be your favorite, but you have to appreciate his work to even pretend to have testicles. My next favorite is Dwayne Johnson. The Rock can do no wrong. vuduchile 1,940 Posted March 25, 2019 I'm going Harrison Ford due his versatility. Star Wars franchise Indiana Jones franchise Blade Runner 1&2 Air Force One Jack Ryan movies Witness The Fugitive Frantic Force 10 From Navarrone Cowboys and Aliens And most of his action movies are not just good, but great. wiffleball 4,631 Posted March 25, 2019 So I heard something interesting on 60 Minutes last night. The top grossing actor these days? Sam Jackson. It took me a minute, but yeah, I guess if you have even a bit part in literally every single marvel movie for the past 10 years oh, you got to be pulling some serious ticket sales into your resume. Trivia question that used to work great for me was that John ratzenberger from cheers at one point was the top grosser. You wouldn't think of him or his name. Most people didn't even know who it was. But it turns out, he's been a voice in literally every Pixar film. And if you go back 15,20 years? That's a hell of a lot of ticket sales too.

Hardcore troubadour 12,595 Posted March 25, 2019 I can honestly say if I had the choice I would watch a Tom Arnold movie before I would watch an AS movie. True Lies would be a problem, I know.

jerryskids 5,172 Posted March 25, 2019 4 hours ago, edjr said: Jeff Speakman He studied Kenpo, which I did for about a year back in my 20s. Very good street fighting style. The idea is fast multiple-hits vs. a big knockout punch. If you know The Perfect Weapon, think of the stick fighting Speakman did, that shows the idea. The style was also practiced by... Elvis, fun worthless fact. Word was that our head instructor (5th dan) beat the snot out of Speakman in sparring matches. Instructor was a modest guy so I never heard it from him directly. I do recall him telling the story about "that guy" who is drunk at a Christmas party saying stuff like "all your kung fu shiot won't face up to my gunz$#@!' Eventually my instructor looked around and said, "I don't see your guns." Drunk guy didn't say another word. Also I watched UFC 1 at his house. Focking Royce Gracie, maybe 6' 180 lbs (my size), steamrolled through that field. No weight classes. Eventually the world caught up with the idea of mixed martial arts, but at the time the Gracies were right, they could beat all challengers with BJJ.

titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted March 26, 2019 I voted Willis. Die hard is the best action franchise Imho. Arnold? Sure. Some great movies. But he's a sh!t actor. Put any half literate pile of muscle in those roles. No difference.

wiffleball 4,631 Posted March 26, 2019 Damn, I'm trying to think of the movie. It wasn't buckaroo banzai, that sort of that era. The guy had a ridiculously over-the-top Oriental elderly instructor. No, not mr. Miyagi. Worst stereotype. The white guy hero has been in a couple rules but never really as a lead. Damn, I hope it comes to me.
