Pelosi rips AOC, says her posse in Congress is ‘like five people’

Recommended Posts

You go girls!! It's kind of like MDC and Falcon getting into a cat fight.

Quote

On several occasions now, Pelosi has downplayed any splits within her ranks — and also tried to dim some of Ocasio-Cortez’s star power.

In a recent interview with USA Today, the House Speaker pointed out that votes are more significant than Twitter followers — a remark that was also interpreted to be a dig at AOC.

“While there are people who have a large number of Twitter followers, what’s important is that we have a large number of votes on the floor of the House,” Pelosi said.

On “60 Minutes” Pelosi said her Democrats weren’t fractured by those loud voices on the left.

“By and large, whatever orientation they came to Congress with, they know that we have to hold the center. That we have to … go down the mainstream,” Pelosi said.

Tlaib may not last more than one term. Never say never but the Congressional Black Caucus will likely want John Conyers' seat back. A huge reason she won in the first place was because the Democratic Primary had six black candidates plus her. I  have to wonder if Omar is in the same boat.

Absolutely.  And I can only hope that this is true.  But I do not believe they go away, we are likely stuck with their stupidity for some time to come.

Pelosi spouts the correct ideological words, this means she is allowed to say things that ideological opponents will be attacked for.

No, its does not make sense, it IS illogical and frankly both evil and stupid, but it is how the left does business.

I'm burned out on AOC

Yeah, I think I now sorta get why leftists do this with Trump, every time she says something it is brutally stupid and it is hard to resist making fun of her because she is so arrogant.....

I think the big difference is that Trump is the POTUS and therefore relevant. AOC is some junior congresswoman on par with ~stick.

It's a sad state of affairs where I think Nancy focking Pelosi is in the right.

Oh, and Nancy? That whole " holding the center" thing? That's not going well. We're already gone.

Not really. ~stick is in Austin in Texas' state legislature, AOC is in the big show, representing her state in D.C.

Yeah so, that narrative about AOC being in conservatives heads didn't last very long. That can be put to rest.

I know people are fond of making that distinction, but I hold her to the same standard that I hold the president, and I think that is fair. Either truth matters or it does not, to base truth on ones position in government or society is not a scale i will accept.

The House can't pass legislation anyways, everything they do is pointless grandstanding anyway.  Now, Pelosi has 235 members, what if all 235 were (tactically) sane? Unfortunately for her, she's got a handful of loose nut freaks making asses of themselves repeatedly and in turn the party. Both the conservatives and the far left media craptivists like following AOC around with a recording device since she's the gift that keeps on giving. She's Nancy Pelosi's problem. The GOP doesn't care, the seat is smurf blue. If it's AOC or if it's a sane Dem, they would vote identically. So for them, it's better with AOC to every now and again say something stupid and make the Dems look like asses.

That’s true. Just saying AOC is comparatively speaking a nobody. She’s basically the left wing version of one of those tea party candidates who was voted in around 2010.

Do not underestimate the stupidity of the average humanoid. Just go look at FBG to see it in action. They love these idiots. Obviously the idiots in their areas voted them in. They were that dumb to begin with. It's gonna be pretty hard to educate those retards.

I agree. You get air time in the government, you need to be held to some standards. Hell, you are human, you should be held to standards.

Except MDC. We all know he is a little slow on the uptake. He can be forgiven as he is handicapped mentally and should be set aside with his toys for the day.

They come from wackjob Districts, where only the most radical have a shot.  So, it really doesn't matter if they are 1 termers or not, their replacement will be just as unpalatable.  Better the devil that we know.

Whoever wins these district is going to have a deep blue voting pattern. I couldn't tell you about Omar or AOC's district but Tlaib is representing a good chunk of inner city Detroit so this is a deep chocolate seat. I don't know if environmentalism or  LBGT bullsh*t (especially being Muslim) will be much of a priority, but all the black grievance stuff John Conyers had been spouting for decades plays really well there.

As you may recall, Conyers (finally) got booted out of Congress midway through last term.  This is actually the second time she'd ran for his seat, she lost the first time. There'd been a special election to fill the last few months of his term, Tlaib ran for it but finished second (the black vote was only split four ways). When she ran for the full term, there was the filler incumbent among six black rivals and she won.

Detroit has a sizeable Muslim community to help her out and with incumbency, maybe she can make inroads with the black community knowing how important doing so is for her re-election. With her demographic disadvantage, I'm of the opinion that if she ran against a single black opponent that she would lose but surely she knows what it takes to win the district and if she's a skilled enough politician, she'll find a way.

Pelosi is so stupid she doesn't realize she's losing her own party. Sure it's 5 right now but it could be 20 next election then 50... The party of 5s owners plan on running their actors against established Dems. Hell they've already done it.

Even with the black vote being scattered Tlaib barely won. An open seat always brings a crowd. There will be fewer candidates next time and Tliab will lose handily.

AOC is a complete product of her handlers. When she goes off script it's cringeworthy. She is doing this less and less.  He constituents are just like her. She shouldn't have any problem being reelected.

Omar might be from the biggest nutjob district in the U.S..  She speaks for them. Openly Pro Palestine, Anti Israel, Anti Saudi, Pro Communist. All their other socialist viewpoints of free health care and pro gay are lip service.  It will be interesting to see if a Muslim man goes after her seat. Other than that, she will coast to another win.

He also executed people in droves before they turned on him and executed HIM; almost a leftist trope really....
