Another dumb pick. Tight ends are not that valuable.

Have you seen tape on him. He's a huge difference maker

Omg Oliver is there, TAKE HIMMMM

That would be a good pick for them.  I thought no way he would still be there at 9.

Ok. When has a top tight end been the difference on a team? Gronk is the only one I can think of, and he was a shell of himself last year. Plus they get hurt quite often being such big targets going over the middle, getting Chopped down by linebackers and safeties.

When was the last top any one player save a QB made a difference on a team?

Just came across this story, pretty funny.

Quote

Giants GM Gettleman: 'I'm not going to force a pick'

Dave Gettleman knows the outside world thinks he needs to draft a quarterback high in the 2019 NFL Draft. Dave Gettleman will not kowtow to that perception, nor will he feel forced to take one high. As a matter of fact, Dave Gettleman won't be forced to take any specific position.

"I'm just telling you: I'm not going to force a pick," the New York Giants general manager said Thursday, via ESPN. "You can't draft for need. You'll get screwed every time. You'll make a mistake."

Amid suggesting the Giants don't own a glaring need at quarterback, because Eli Manning"proved" he "had a lot left," Gettleman said specifically he wouldn't reach for a signal-caller.

"No," Gettleman insisted. "No special category

Good job Gettleman, you motherfocking azzhole!  We’re at 14 and nobody else has taken a QB (not counting #1 overall).  You were bidding against yourself.

Stafford will neutralize that without even breaking a sweat.

Could be, but they could have waited and taken their bust QB at 17 and taken Josh Allen at 6.

Next years qb class is much better. They will suck enough to get one next year. Eli was going to start regardless this year. They had the opportunity to load up on bpa. They didn't. I really don't get it

I actually don’t hate that pick for the Giants.  If they got Josh Allen and Dexter Lawrence here, I’d be thrilled.

Thing is, you can fool yourself into thinking these guys just got their suit and watch Etc. Or even then somehow they borrowed it. But those tattoos took a long damn time.

Hmm. What would it take for the Bears to trade up and take Montez Sweat right here from the third... I would always be trading up as a GM and rounding out my roster with late round guys

This ESPN coverage is horse shlt. Why is this azzhole country singer pumping his bar on here every few minutes?

Having the dumb azz cover band on the draft stage, playing while people are trying to talk, has been a train wreck.
