Where does Rosen go now? Some people were defiant that the Cards wouldn't take Murray

Giants beat writers are reporting they are talking Rosen deal. Could be smoke, could be real.

I would guess teams are going to wait to see how the rest of the first round goes, then maybe someone toward the top of the second offers that pick for him.

I think that would be smart of them. Teams should try to get multiple reliable qbs. It's too important of a position to act like they are better than acquiring Rosen. Especially if it's for a second. Hell they get an originally graded 1st round pick with a year of experience for a 2nd round pick

Schefter said Giants, Dolphins and Chargers all had talks with Arizona about Rosen, but likely as a backup plan depending on what happens tonight.

If I were the Jets, I would try to get Rosen. 1, because every team should have a legit backup. 2, because Darnold is no guarantee yet.

Edit: 3, because the Jets always pick wrong at qb, so the odds of Darnold panning out aren't good

Wow there wasn't one person who called that Raider pick

Dave Getelman and the Giants actually do the responsible thing and prioritize a QB, I wanted Allen, but I'm still pleased

Would've liked Jones better at 17, but obviously the Gmen didn't think he'd be there. If you really like a QB it's not a reach, and they love Daniel Manning.. er...jones

Why did the Raiders take him so early? Montez Sweat would be my pick at DE. I would love to have that freakish athleticism.

If I were the GMen I would rather trade my second for Rosen and take the BPA non qb at 6. The guy they took is probably a reach, I agree

Would Haskins been a reach there? If not why would Jones or Lock be. Baker was the 4th "rated" QB by the majority and he looks like the best now.

I think that's a good pick for the lions. They wiffed on Ebron but this guy is a better all-around player

Hate to see Marquise Brown end up in Baltimore. Bad fantasy landing spot for a team that's going to be in the bottom half of WR production.

Mike Mayock isnt off to a great start draft wise imo. He reached on Ferrell. He drafted the least important position on the offense, and he drafted the least valuable position on defense with a safety. I'm still unimpressed with the guy.

Gruden as more to do with the Raiders picks then Mayock.

Jacobs was a very good need pick.

Like it.

and it's not like it was a huge reach.   most reports had him as a pick later in round 1 or early in round 2.   As this also fills a team need I dont see a problem with the pick.   I also question whether he would have been available for their next selection, so the bottom line is:  if you want him, you have to step up and take what you need.

Supposedly the Dolphins are close to trading for Allen with their second pick.:dunno:

Ok. It's proven time and again how unimportant rb is. It's a reach when you pass on potential studs at much more important positions. Jacobs isn't the player Elliot or Barkley are. Not even close

John Dorsey proving yet again how much better he is than everyone else. Greedy at 46? Highway Robbery

Why you say that? Most last version mock I saw had him out of the 1st round.

He doesnt fit a lot of schemes.  Not willing to tackle either.

Tall, long, fast and athletic. Who cares if he can tackle...
