I kind of agree. So you cut him, let the NFL suspend him, then let another team pick him up on a reduced contract?  That seems kind of dumb too.

The story does have a heartwarming example of true love, though. It's so sweet that his fiancee gave the recording to a friend as an insurance policy. Nothing says "I love you" like holding onto evidence for blackmail purposes.
