The Football Guru 211 Posted April 27, 2019 There is usually one or two players who slip through the cracks and go undrafted, usually surprisingly so. After doing a quick look, the following names surprised me the most from this draft: RBs: James Williams, Karan Higdon, Devine Ozigbo WRs: Preston Williams, Stanley Morgan Jr., Keelan Doss, David Sills, Emanuel Hall Of this bunch, I'll mention the ones that surprised me the most even though I think Hall was the most highly regarded. I'm stunned a pass-catching specialist like Williams didn't go in the fourth round, much less go undrafted. Higdon may be no more than an RB3 in the league, but he's at least that. Ozigbo could have easily been taken over Ryquell Armstead or either one of Miami's choices in the last round, just to point out a couple of spots. Morgan is going to make a roster and probably be no worse than a third receiver by the end of this season if he finds the right fit. His omission is a glaring one. I'm not quite that high on Doss, but I think he makes a roster.
cmh6476 748 Posted April 29, 2019 I like the idea of landing Williams, but I was hoping Higdon would go to the Chiefs because I may or may not know someone with that last name who wouldn't mind having a Chiefs jersey with it on there
jrokh 567 Posted April 29, 2019 For what its worth, I think I saw James Jones On TV call Stanley Morgan Jr his # 1 rated WR before the draft. I have an autographed football card of his dad on New England so I will be rooting for the kid.
