Yes, work(do lots of graphic animation and 4K video work) - cost a little over 5 grand, could easily build it myself, but the company that put it together offers 3 years parts and labor. Makes it worth it. Not excited about having to spend the next couple of days installing every program I need...but otherwise. I have a 2080 ti myself now. Make sure you go into your BIOS and that your RAM is set to the XMP profile, you’ll gain 10-15 FPS. And please tell me you have at least a 144hz monitor to go with it? Almost an insult to that PC to have anything less. Do you want to overclock? I can help you get it going

It's my boss's credit card. You just dropped 5k on a PC may as well get a $250ish monitor to complete the build. Here’s a decent example of what it will do: It just makes everything smoother and more enjoyable. It’s one of the best upgrades you can do for your build. I’d recommend an AOC monitor they are pretty affordable and work great. This one is 13% off and you won’t find a 144hz monitor much cheaper than this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D377Q6D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Jzf0CbG6SRH7X Also has a 1ms latency time. If you are doing strictly office work a 60hz is fine, unless you want to splurge. If you are doing video editing or gaming 144hz+ is a must.

I'm happy for you. Someday I will game at 2k... maybe even 4k. Today is not that day. My GTX 1060 and 4690k cpu are good enough for 1080p gaming. First thing I have to upgrade is the cpu.... $350+. But of course that requires a new mobo ($100+), and requires 16 gb DDR 4 RAM ($120+). Then the graphic card.... ($400 - $600). And of course a 2k or 4k monitor ($500-$700). All that to play a video game, which my current stuff can play fine at 1080p. Enjoy the pixels. Most of us can't pull that trigger.

It’ll just cut voltage before it will burn it up, that doesn’t happen. Download https://novabench.com/ Start your game, once you think it’s as hot as it’s going to get, open the temps up Safe CPU temp is 85 or under for most CPU’s and 75 or under for most GPU’s I overclock the sh!t out of my rig and run at 90 on my CPU and my overclocked GPU at 88. I’ve never had a piece of hardware fry on me and that will probably be a good 10 Celsius higher than any load you’ll put on it. You’re good, I wouldn’t worry about it.
