Chips on sandwiches

Recommended Posts

I've done it - and my goto wasn't really a sandwich but a gyro place down the street.   Gyro + salt and vinegar chips.

Another good one I have had is from Tom & Chee, the BBQ & Bacon Grilled Cheese.

Ha, damn - didn't mean to start a hot dog ji-had. :D

Ironically enuff, I do like ketchup on fried Spam...... On my hot dog, give me - mustard, relish, onion, Seranos and grated cheese.

I wouldn't say I normally do it but I've done it before.  It's not bad.

From watching too much food network shows, I think it's a combination of the salt and texture it adds to the meal.   Probably the reason why I find a sandwich made with toast(even I toasted it hours earlier) tastier than just a regular sammy---like the crunch factor.

cute story. My uncle was going out to get beer or something for a Fourth of July family picnic. Any asked if anyway me at anyting. And one of the girls said "yeah just pick up some chips!"

Poor guy was gone forever. I mean, to the point that we worried. Even sent a few search parties out hoping against hope that he hadn't gotten in a car wreck or something.

He shows back up with about eight little snack size bags of SunChips.

Poor sweet guy was so distraught that he couldn't find SunChips in the grocery store and he looked all over to find them because he thought that's what she wanted. He ended up buying every last bag out of some repair shops vending machine.

Was a great guy.

That is a funny story.

Peanut Butter sandwich with regular chips on it is my go to if I'm in a hurry.

hot dogs - mustard, onions, and pickles.  Kosher dill pickles, no sweet pickles or relish.  I can accept dill relish.

Add celery salt and you've basically described a Chicago dog, which I said earlier I'll do over ketchup if I have all of the fixins.

You may be right, for sure about tomatoes, I forgot about them.  I'd need to google on the relish, I tend not to do it because of the pickles.  I also have seen jalapenos subbed for pickles here, but I prefer the pickles.  To me it is pickles, onions, tomatoes, mustard, and celery salt.

First time I had one was in Little Rock AR of all places.  There is a hipster dog place downtown.  I hadn't really used mustard to that point, and I by and large don't like raw onions.  But it caught my eye and I had heard of them so wtf let's try it... I freaking loved it.

Soon after I realized that the Phoenix Suns arena offered them (we had season tix at the time) and it became my go-to meal.

No cheese?

That would ruin the bologna/chip taste combo.

Cheese on everything else, though.

Can't do bologna without fake cheese. Because real cheese is like putting diamond earrings on a pig.

Tomato slices are important.  Adds some chill to the hot dog underneath.

Hell no. Mustard is a vastly superior condiment to ketchup.

Most people that like mustard are serious a**holes...  Hopefully you aren't one of them...

Take a Ruffles, add a chunk of sharp cheddar onto it and then a squirt of ketchup on top. Repeat as necessary
