Got one. Keep a lot of my trophies in there as well as other things like furniture passed down in the family, military uniforms and gear, stuff from. My wife and I’s Wedding, etc.

Well, you are from the "everyone gets a trophy" generation. I bet you have a lot.

If you have asthma the day of the game, you still get one, right?   🤣

Nah. Most of mine actually are champion trophies (except some little league ones where everyone did actually get them). I did post my national championship ring a while back. Sucks you guys don’t have any trophies but I’ve literally got a sh1t ton with some given away to my other teammates when we all stopped playing. But medals? Dam man I’ve got a box full. Of course, I played more than just baseball which is why I have a ton of them as well. Sucks for y’all I guess

Why do you keep them in the storage unit?

All of that must look really impressive on your resume.  Do you get free coffee at Dunkin' Donuts when they see you walk in?

Cause it’s where my extra sh1t goes. Just like my old military uniforms, blanket made out of all my old sports jerseys, old photos, furniture passed down, etc

Sucks for you. I love having momentos from things. Proud of my achievements. Plus a lot of places ask you for your diplomas so it was really dumb to throw yours away. But to each his own. The only people here getting upset over someone having trophies in storage are the people who are usually jealous of people with trophies. Others that have them don’t really care cause they have them too. So it makes it obvious who’s envious. Little tip: don’t be so much of a jealous d1ck about stupid things and you’ll make more friends. HT has none which is why he’s he constantly

I have lots of mementos of the things that matter to me. None of them happened in high school.

But anyway, that was a bit d!ckish of me. Sorry bout that. I like to bust your balls, but you're alright digby.

Also, if I recall correctly, you are quite a bit younger than me, so your high school college days are less ancient history.

Nah don’t worry about it. And yea my sports day aren’t that long ago. I’ve had a lot of stuff happen for me growing up to where I won trophies. During the summers I was in a tournament literally every weekend (save maybe one or two weekend of the entire summer) and 9/10 times we won those. So I do have a lot of trophies/medals just from that. But I had a lot of fun playing sports which is why I keep my trophies. Got a few rings, one being one we won at a coopers town baseball tourney. Really do miss those days playing ball

When you grow up someday you'll have your own house where you can put your participation trophies.

Why do I have the feeling that all of digby's trophies are of the participation type?

Edit - DOH, HT beat me to it!!  🤣

You have to let go of highschool/college stuff pretty early in life or else you end up like the guy in Napoleon Dynamite.

I declare Djgb13 the THREAD WINNER. He has actual accomplishments and stores them how he wishes. He also basically told us all to go F ourselves, which I respect.

For these reasons and more I present Djgb13 with a......... trophy.

🏆   There you go, sport.

Yep. Seems to me though that a lot of people here are more obsessed with my success in sports than I am. Since they are the ones clamoring about it m. It’s probably cause they never got any trophies of their own. It’s sad really.

I am not being condescending, if I put together a list of posters I liked and posters I do not like, you would end up on the like side.  You seem to be genuine and have a real personality that is not just trolling.

However, there is a reason that they made the guy in napoleon dynamite bring up sporting accomplishments multiple times or Ted Bundy's 4 TD game, same with him.  Generally it is considered boorish and kindof being a loser to bring up sporting accomplishments as an adult multiple times.

Bringing it up one time, that is great, but you have to be in the double digits range by now. There is a reason that even nice posters like BiPolarBear and TB&B are piling on.

I agree that I like Digby and find his openness refreshing here.  To build on this tho, it's bad enough to state that you keep trophies in a storage unit, but to lead with that in the list as to why you have one is... what Skibum stated above.

That’s your opinion. I only bring it up during appropriate times. Such as this case in which my trophies are stored in my storage unit a long with all the other stuff I described. We had more in there but since we moved we got a lot more space and took a good bit out. That is what’s left. Don’t see an issue with stating what’s in the storage job but apparently it’s “boorish” to say that I still have all my trophies from all the sports I played. Pretty weird thing to say. Would be the equivalent of hanging up the trophy fish you caught or talking about it. Just some thoughts on that. Other than that, I honestly don’t care what a lot of people here say. It’s already been established most do it to troll or honestly are losers (HT) trying to get some form of meaning and hate when other people have succeeded. Noticed quite a trend with it lately. Other than that, I’m having the time of my life right now and enjoying the sh1t out of summer. I’d highly suggest others here try it

I didn't realize that Ted played for Polk High too.

So, if you had to put the trophies in storage, where were they before? Have you been dragging them all over the country? Lol.

Well when you’re military and move you tend to keep things in a unit. Don’t see what the problem is. Maybe you guys need to relax more? Cause I couldnt care less if you guys stored your old porn mags or trophies in a unit. But then again, not much tends to bother me unlike what a lot of people here seem to be like
