Drizzay 645 Posted May 23, 2019 The wife used to manage an apartment complex that was built in the 60's. Management before her never inventoried the detached garage units, nor had they cleaned them out after someone moved out. So as she was starting the process, she opened one that was full of junk, but she could see the grill of a car sticking through. It was a metallic blue 1968 GTO. She called the police dept to see how she could take possession of it. They said she had to notify the last known leaseholder of the garage and to give them 90 days to come pick it up. Literally on the last day, the previous renter's sons came with a tow truck to get the car. The truck pulled it out...barely any rust on the body, and the interior was tear-free. The sons said the dad had been in hospice before he passed, and they had no idea where that car had been, but they had been looking for it for years. I was one day short of having my very own GTO to fix up!
Djgb13 2,338 Posted May 23, 2019 I feel like I should also point out my storage unit is in my old hometown where I was living before I left for the military. Had it since 2008 and have been taking things out and putting things back in due to different moves
