Accepted Trades Procedure

Processing Accepted Trades

9 members have voted

  1. 1. Currently the commissioner has to approve trades. Do you think that should continue or should trades be automatically processed when accepted?

    • The trade is immediately processed.
    • The trade is sent to the commissioner for approval.

yeah...I tire of looking at the DNDL site seeing if I need to process trades....for some reason all trades need the commissioners approval.  I would prefer if we just processed the trades once they are agreed upon between the two owners.

I wouldn't mind a running thread of completed trades.

With maybe a vote process is something seems shady.  Vote called and seconded for possible collusion goes to all other 10 teams... maybe 7/10 can over turn?

Voting gets convoluted sometimes.  We (all leagues) face possible collusion, lopsided trades, free will, "no crystal ball," competitive balance, owner indifference, grudges.

- trades go through unless contested... go to a vote, then final decision by commish?

- have to state rationale publicly to initiate denial?

- trades involving future draft picks: both team have to pay dues for years involved?

Lopsided trades are allowed. Collusion isn’t. If anything too funny happens, the mob will react accordingly. No need to gum up what has been fine more than a decade into the game.
