** Round Four-Eight Commentary - July Mock 2019 **

Recommended Posts

I had to take Hill there. His upside is too much on the field. I think his suspension is going to be a lot lighter than most people believe.

That went just about as suspected.  I had Woods, Cooks and Godwin lined up as I was almost certain Matt and ICEMAN were going to take WRs.  They took two of the three, which made my decision for me.

Today has been a great drafting day. I'm surprised Cooks goes ahead of Woods. Woods is definitely Goffs preferred target imo.

Woods vs Cooks is a sample size thing for me.   I thing Woods is possibly the steadier less boom bust play but hes only got one 1,000 yard receiving season under his belt in 6 seasons.

Cooks has 4 in 5.

The second of many O.J. Howard shares I expect to own this summer and fall. I like his chances of making the Pro Bowl this year. He was on pace for nearly 1,000 yards last season before getting hurt.

If you say this about a player then I am gonna go out and get him in my money leagues. Thanks Doug!!

This is why I am comfortable waiting on receivers. I am completely satisfied with Lockett and Hill as my one and two

Nice! Thanks Mike.

Through five rounds I have Barkley, fournette, thielen, luck & hunter henry.

I was early on a QB this mock, which is unusual for me but I'm thinking Luck has a mahomes type season this year so I went with my gut.

Montgomery was considered when I grabbed Michel.  I felt he might travel back to me.  I was looking at Jacobs and drake when I went Qb. (Watson).

Qb - Watson

Rb - Chubb, Michel

Wr - Hopkins, A. Brown

Montgomery was on the radar for the 6th round.

I was hoping for Michel but Montgomery is a fine consolation

Just realized that I have a nice pattern of WR, RB, WR, RB, WR going right now.  I wanted to fill out my starting WRs and decided to go with Jeffery.  He's a talented WR and can put up good numbers.  I think he's a solid WR3 for me.

I'm a Bears fan and I will tell you that Montgomery didnt fall far enough. Put me in the doubter category. 3 running backs is a crowd, and the other two have serious talent. I also think he had some very weak numbers in college with his ypc. A solid rb, sure. A for sure stud and steal here? I'm not hoping on board.

Thanks for these comments FBN as I had Montgomery side-by-side with Guise, and I took Guise. I too thought about the Chicago 3-headed monster at RB.

Now, my plan is for Guise to give me Points the last 2/3rds of the season, not right away.

My team is balancing out nicely. I was wondering if Robinson would fall all the way to me next round considering how low some people have him ranked

I believe I set it up last year, but I can't find the link.

I'd be happy to do it again this year, unless someone else is itching to do it.

That would be swell

I will let our esteemed Coach, Mr Landry, handle this. Do you want the link to last year Mr Landry?

Actually it was another until he got hurt.  Woods wasn't that popular until that guy went down.

I feel like this is a tough situation to get a read on regarding stats with or without a certain player on the field.

They were really only together healthy the first 5 weeks of the season.   All were good in that time span.  WR 4, WR 11 and WR 20
