I like a nice pool with a swim up bar.  Lakes are okay and the ocean has too many sharks now.  :o

Just got back from the ocean.

I think that we are seeing seals in places where they never used to be and the sharks are following them.  However, I don't know that the seal population is any larger than it used to be.  :dunno:

I don't doubt that is part of it, but I would suspect that protections on both the seals and the sharks has helped with their numbers.  It could be that people are just fatter now and they look more delicious in the ocean to a shark.  :dunno:

Lake is the answer (with a beach). For boating purposes mostly. Never any wake.

Winnipesaukee is pretty perfect

Of the three, I chose ocean.  Of course the real option is "frozen".  Bring on ski season!

Pool. I swim in pools I don’t swim in the ocean, I respect it too much. Lakes, no thanks I prefer not getting flesh eating bacteria.

Ocean, Florida Gulf.

Pools are nasty with children and sunscreen dirtying up the water.

Ever since they made seals protected animals. which, by the way in the same law, they made seabirds protected. Dumbest freaking law ever by the way.

Anywho, talk to anybody who lives near a wharf, Pier or Marina. Seals are like homeless people. Except fatter. They crap everywhere, damage property, and God forbid you try to do something about them. You'll have Greenpeace all over your ass. And the FEDS.

F*** with ecosystem and it f**** with you back. More shark food equals more sharks.

Newbies pool at his girlfriends condo complex. Or the open hydrant in front of MDC's row house by the bridge.

I'm  50 in December..  I'm way too focking old to give a shiit about Vegas Millennial pool scenes...

Give me the ocean 1st, or I'll take a chill campfire lake scene 2nd.

Depends on where you are. We have gray seals. They hang out on some beaches, but they are not where people hang out generally. We see them where I am on a shoal that is accessible only by boat. They aren’t on our pier at all.

The sharks have been there for a long time too. I am not sure if we don’t have less of the lower portions of the chain (fish) and more of the higher end (seals, sharks, people), so it is causing problems.
