Of course that's your doing but you were given that money to start with.  Meaning that you could not have done it without that money which means it was not self made.  The term self made millionaire usually means that one started from scratch and made that money one their own from the beginning, unless I'm in the wrong here.

I'll give him credit where credit is due.  He's done a fine job maintaining his status as a wealthy man and I think he's great at branding himself.  Self made millionaire is incorrect though.

I don't know if I would or not.  I think you raise a decent point though.  When I think of self-made I think of people who started from scratch.  Started a business on their own like the guys that began in their garages.  People who started with next to nothing.  I don't think of people who received money up front, other than loans that get paid back with interest.

Forbes gave Trump a rating of 4 out of 10 on their self-made scale.  A rating of 1 means they inherited all of their wealth and a 10 means they made it all on their own.  I find that to be pretty accurate.
