Support and love are two different things, stupid cunt. She was asked if she supported al Quada.  Then compares it to loving a white supremacist. What a maroon.

The funny thing is, there's a lot of truth to that.  One of their big talking points "a living wage".  It doesn't matter how much people make.  In the end, the costs of goods will go up.  If everyone who was on welfare all of a sudden made $40k per year from any random job, the new poverty line would end up being at $50k.  These morons are not actually solving any problems, just creating new and/or different ones.  The thing that's most frustrating is that you know they know this but are pushing this for their own political careers/futures and using the agenda of "morally appropriate" as the disguise.

You're sort of right. The problem is not so much wages, as it is the fact that our entire society is set up to serve the shareholder. Raise the wages AND prevent the companies from passing that on to the consumer, and youd have something.

This says it all about Omar.

Rep. Ilhan Omar refused to answer whether she supports the Islamist terrorist group al-Qaeda, at a press conference Monday.

“I will not dignify it with an answer because I know that every single Islamophobe, every single person who is hateful, who is driven by an ideology of ‘othering’ as this president is, rejoices in us responding to that and us defending ourselves,” Omar said.

“I do not expect every time there is a white supremacist who attacks or there is a white man who kills in a school or in a movie theater, or in a mosque, or in a synagogue, I don’t expect my white community members to respond on whether they love that person or not. And so I think it is beyond time, it is beyond time to ask Muslims to condemn terrorists. We are no longer going to allow the dignification of such ridiculous — ridiculous statement she said.

It's just some people who did something. No big deal.

Its like impeaching and removing Trump defines the democrat House's existence.  They couldn't get it done with the Mueller investigation.  That isn't going to stop them.  Now the trick is to get super offended at everything he says or does and try to impeach and remove him that way.

No. I don't. I didn't say that at all.

Thats pretty much why I'm apolitical though. Yet another instance where neither party has any answers. The Republicans just want to bend over more to our corporate masters. The dems want full scale socialist nonsense.

Its a problem that will ultimately be the death of this country as we know it.

That Talib pig wrapped herself in the Palestinian flag when she won her election. Literally. Yeah, I'm with DT on her. She can get the fock out. I wouldn't care if she was conceived at Mt. Rushmore and born at the Lincoln memorial. She does not love this country and I question her allegiance to it. Ohhhhh, I'm a racist.

I wouldn't be against a full on lynching of her by her constituency. She's a disgrace as a human representative and should be put on the first tanker out of the country.

I think that would depend on your skin color.....to them at least.....

The quality of your thoughts and argument are predicated on your skin color for these people.  Its a sick and sad mentality.

Agreed.  But I was referring to Titans post about controlling how businesses operate.  That's socialism.  That's helping the Democrats (especially these 4), get what they want.

I agree with that. But corporations have grown too powerful and pretty much melded with government. I don't know what the answer is, but the middle class has no representation and is dying.

Probably deserves its own thread but will post in here for continuity.

Morning carpet bombs from @realdonaldtrump:

The Democrats in Congress are getting nothing done, not on drug pricing, not on immigration, not on infrastructure, not on nothing! Sooo much opportunity, yet all they want to do is go “fishing.” The American people are tired of the never ending Witch Hunt, they want results now!

“In America, if you hate our Country, you are free to leave. The simple fact of the matter is, the four Congresswomen think that America is wicked in its origins, they think that America is even more wicked now, that we are all racist and evil. They’re entitled to their.....

...opinion, they’re Americans. Now I’m entitled to my opinion, & I just think they’re left wing cranks. They’re the reason there are directions on a shampoo bottle, & we should ignore them. The “squad” has moved the Democrat Party substantially LEFT, and.....

....they are destroying the Democrat Party. I’m appalled that so many of our Presidential candidates are falling all over themselves to try to agree with the four horsewomen of the apocalypse. I’m entitled to say that they’re Wack Jobs.” Louisiana Senator John Kennedy

The middle class does have representation.  They have the money.  Don't buy from those places.  It's that simple.  Stop supporting the Wal-marts, Amazon's, and other corporate giants.  Buy local.  Go to smaller businesses.  Don't be lazy.  Go out for the day and shop at 3 or 4 small places to get what you need.  Instead of rushing home to sit on your azz and watch tv, take the kids out and do things with them.  Before the tech age, my brother and I would go out with our parents on the weekends for 3 or 4 hours and go shopping.  No one does that now because the little sh!ts complain because they don't have their iPad.  The public need to stop being spoiled crybabies and wanting everyone to do and give them everything and start doing for themselves.

For many if not most products, there is no such thing as an option to buy local. At least where I am from. It may be different in the bigger older cities.

Groceries? Kroger. Publix. Whole foods. Wal mart. That's it.

Electronics? Best buy is pretty focking much it. There used to be local shops. They went under long ago.

Even very few local restaurants anymore.

And why did that happen?  Increased minimum wage.  Global taxation of businesses.  Democrat "feelings".  Lazy people.  The problem is that Democrats have had too control and made too many laws.  They taxed businesses globally, forcing smaller businesses to either raise their prices or cut staff to keep up with the bills.  Then, they cried for the unemployed and high prices's forcing a higher minimum wage.  What end's up happening?  Massive corporations move in and destroy what's left of the small businesses.  Forcing local communities to bend over for them to give the locals jobs.

The simple and obvious solution is to cut the taxes of small businesses and increase the taxes for the big companies.  That allows for more local stores to compete and beat the giants.  It forces the big corporations to do what you want them to do and invest in their employees and not their CEO's, because they'll want good employees because they now have competition.

Businesses like Kroger and Publix aren't the giants that Wal-mart and Amazon are.  They're union first of all, plus they're not all owned by one person.  They're a franchise, like other grocery stores like Acme, Shop-Rite, etc.  They're locally owned.  Let's all also understand that people who work for these company's are unskilled labor for the most part.  There are very few college degrees in the hustle and bustle day-to-day operations of grocery stores and alike.  People should want and earn more.  They should make the effort to better themselves.

I 100% support taxing sma business less than big companies. That should be a no brainer.

So you want to raise wages and prevent companies from raising the prices of their goods or services? That will drive a lot of companies out of business.

The problem isn't with the corporations making a profit.  Hint:  Anyone who has a 401k is a shareholder and, therefore, by your reasoning part of the problem.  The problem is that corporations have been given the same rights as an individual.  That's idiotic.  A corporation is run by individuals but is not one itself.  We should prohibit corporations from lobbying the government.  Probably should do so with a lot more organizations beyond just corporations but right now we're discussing corporations.  The problem isn't the existence or business model of corporations, which at the end of the day just consist of a number of individual investors just as some small partnerships do, but with the ability of the corporation to exploit their status as a "person" and the amount of money they can spend on lobbying to serve their best interests instead of the country/people.
