Which are the best sheets for a bed?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I just bought a new mattress and the salesperson said I should get 'breathable' bamboo sheets.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good set?

TIA

Rubber ones.  Blood cleans up much much easier than cotton.  HTH

Whatever you do, don't go with black sheets - stains stand out more. :o

That's how I found out about them. I got bored one day and ordered some and they are badass. I then called 1-877-Kars 4 Kids and told them I hoped all their kids died because of that stupid song.

For $250 they better be badass.

I have a friend with benefits that I hook up with from time to time and she gets what the situation is and doesn't try to make it into more than what it really is. We were laying in bed once and I told her that is what I loved about her - she likes to fock and go home early the next morning. She rolled over and asked me if I knew what she loved about me and I told her no. She responded - I love it that you lick my bottom and I love your sheets.

Sheets a sheet, you lay on it, it’s all the same stuff. This is stuff my wife cares about but doesn’t make a flip of a difference to me.

I used to think the same. Then someone gave me high thread count sheets for my wedding. Worth it.

Thanks guys!

I tried the bamboo sheets and didn't like them. Too much like silk imo.

I also tried the percal sheets and the didn't seem soft enough.

I think I liked the jersey cotton the best but am still doing more research.

Boll and Branch are too expensive. So I think I'm narrowing it down to some sort of cotton sheets.

Any more Advice/Opinions would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Boll and Branch are expensive but worth it. I hate to say it, but they turned me into a sheet snob. I sucked it up and bought 7 sets from them a few years ago and would do it all over again. I change my sheets daily and would never think about sleeping on the same unwashed sheets 2 days in a row.

Thanks again guys!

A Sheet Set from Boll and Branch.

Found a $50 discount online.

Thanks again for all your help.

I’ll bet you can do a test where you use the same crappy cheap sheets for two beds but tell people that one is some luxurious Tibetan magic sheet and they will “ooooh” and “ahhhh” when they get in. If someone thinks a sheet is some high thread count they will perceive it as more comfortable.

You're going to love them. 300 thread count will feel like sleeping in a barn from this day forward.

I hate sheets that are too smooth or are not 100% cotton.

As a matter of fact, I prefer linen sheets. (Target)

ETA,

That website bostonlager posted has linen sheets. They're rough, but I sleep better and cooler with them. I learned about them because the royals use them in the summer. I bought a set and was like, "Where have you been all of my life?!"

"Buffalo Bill" has some interesting options. Maybe you should ask Clarice.

That's kinda... weird.

Are you the same with towels?

Not the towels that hang in the baffroom that you dry your hands with- I wash those once a week. Bath/shower towels - I shower/dryoff  once and into the laundry. You'll get skin fungus using dirty towels, bro.

Mkay... I live in Phoenix btw, not a lot of fungi in the desert.  Towels dry quite quickly as well.

How many laundry loads per week is that?

10-15 towels per week between the shower and hot tub = 1 load per week.

I don't reuse towels but I keep my sheets on the bed and change them every 2 weeks. If I had a steady lover I'd change them more often.

I use 1 body towel per day so it's not so bad. I usually have 3 loads per week:

2 whites (towels, wash cloths, underwear, sleep wear, t-shirts)

1 dark (work clothes, workout shorts and yoga pants)

2 white loads and only 1 load of darkies?

Sounds like you have racist laundry habits

I use a lot of towels and they're all white. I love white towels. I get the cheap ones from Walmart. (<my towels are more numerous, whiter and better folded.)

My dark clothes are not as fluffy and can all fit in one wash. My work shirts and pants are thin material.

The sheets I bought from Boll and Branch are 300 thread count. It's linked below.  If I don't like the sheets I can return them for a full refund.

Anyone else have a good recommendation?

If I don't like these sheets I'll prolly buy the WAMSUTTA PimoCott with a higher thread count.

TIA

The Sheets Arrived...

but I must say I'm not amazed by them. Might go back to BB&B and check some more samples.

Any more advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
