Free money from Equifax if your data was part of the breach

Recommended Posts

https://www.equifaxbreachsettlement.com/

Type in your last name and last 6 of SSN.

If you were affected you can get one of the following:

1. free credit monitoring

2. $125 check or gift card, if you already have credit monitoring

3. $125 + $25/hr spent on dealing with the hack, no documentation required for the first 10 hours

Seems legit. Not sure how fast the money is sent, but that should cover league dues or booze/steaks for opening day of football.

10-4...you need more intensity.  Youre too much like casual observer on this one

It says you have to put down what actions you took in order to get the additional $25/hr. What actions did you put down or should you put down for that?

From my wife's company:

Quote

Scam Alert: Internet bad guys are now trying to trick you into filing an Equifax claim to receive a $125 payment because your personal data was in the Equifax data breach. They are sending phishing attacks that look like they come from Equifax and when you click on the links, you’re taken to a fake website that even looks like its Equifax, but it is not.

Don't fall for it.

If you want to file a claim with Equifax, go directly to the Federal Trade Commission website, click on the orange “File Your Equifax Claim” link and follow the instructions.

The link in the OP is the same one the FTC’s website redirects you to, think we’re good here.
