Top 20 Keyboard Intros of All Time

Recommended Posts

We've done acoustic and electric guitar intros, this time Rick Beato does keyboards.  Not a bad list, as always there are 1000 others you can choose.

One of the best live cuts of it:

The video also starts out by flying into the world trade center window and travels thru a WTC office floor.

I'm not going to type out a list; it is a Youtube video.  Watch and enjoy some music and discussion, or be a posty and hate your life and everything in it.  :dunno:

Sorry have MUCH better things to do than watch a 14 1/2 minute video just to get 20 songs with "great" keyboard introductions...

I was happy that he had foreplay at #4, love that keyboard riff and the song in general.

Garth Hudson doing the intro to Chest Fever by The Band. Trivia: Most everybody played a Hammond B3 back in the day. The sounds you hear are from a Lowrey FL.

Ok just listened to that no.1 on the list, Whiter than the shade of pale or whatever. Yea no im sorry, that is weakest of the weak sauce. Journey separate ways, Aha take on me and then King harvest Dancing in the moonlight. All three completely blow away that lame song and most other on that terrible list.

After listening to all of them......"Foreplay" is by far the most impressive!

Two that I would call obvious snubs...

And you can't have a keyboard countdown without Yes. You just can't.

But a damn fine list. I agree with whiter shade at the top spot.

Well, the Beatles, after they were on top, sat in their Phychedelic Rolls Royce and tripped out on Whiter Shade of Pale. Peter Frampton thinks it his the perfect song.

"Dancing in the Moon Light"  I don't know what to say about that.  😐

Good one.  Pieces of Eight and Grand Illusion were my two most-played cassettes growing up.  Speaking of which, Come Sail Away.
