The NFL is morphing into the NBA. Players are running the show.

New England is giving Brown a one-year deal worth up to $15 million, Rosenhaus said. It includes a $9 million signing bonus, $10 million guaranteed and $5 million in incentives, the source said.

The acquisition of Brown moved the Patriots past the Kansas City Chiefs and into the role of Super Bowl favorites at multiple Las Vegas sportsbooks. The Patriots went from 6-1 to 4-1 to win the Super Bowl at the SuperBook at Westgate Las Vegas. The Chiefs are 6-1.

Are we to believe Browns agent picked up the phone at 4:01 and got a deal done by 5? If there isn't a tampering investigation at the very least then just do away with that rule.

The Pats must figure Gordon will be suspended by Week 4

I thought I stole Gordon in a slow draft a few weeks ago.  Fock.  :wall:

He can still make money and will. A super bowl is hard to come by though. I think at this point he wants a super bowl and then afterwards will try and make as much money as possible

He signed with the Patriots, not Green Bay.  So I guess he settled for second best instead.

HTH.

I don't understand you guys saying he lost 15 million.  His Oakland contract was for less than 15 this year, correct?  What am I missing?

Not really. I know the Patriots have a squeaky clean history and all, but it's just a wee bit fishy.  But then again, what difference does it make?

Sure and maybe after another 10 -15 year hiatus the new New Jersey Giants will be relevant again.

While I love the storyline, this really doesn’t seem like a great idea for the Pats. AB and Gordon? They need a whole psych ward on staff

Per Schefter...

Antonio Brown woke up today in Oakland, in a feud with the Raiders that ended in his release.

He will end his day as a Patriot, getting ready to watch his new team square off Sunday night vs his former Steelers' team.

It took the NFL 100 seasons to produce a story like this.
