I know he says he destroyed them. And the Oats didn't protest that or the punishment. And they were either illegally taping or they weren't. Your fantasy doesn't hold up. So let's get back to reality. Why did he destroy them? Much more likely they were worse.than what we were told. Perhaps tapes of practices? From Super Bowl week?

My fantasy? Yours is much better. It is just as reasonable that many (all?) teams were taping from non-approved areas, which is what we are talking about. The BS about taping walk throughs was never even remotely proven other than dumbass reporters who had to retract their stories.

Isn't it odd that you espouse fake media for Trump, but you gobble it up when it comes to Boston teams?

It's a simple question, why destroy the tapes? The reason you give , that it would somehow look better for the Pats, simply isn't plausible. You're going to have to go in a different direction to not sound like a rose colored glasses homer.  The logical, highly likely reason for destroying the tapes, and the Patriots never saying boo about it or the punishment, is that they were worse than let on. If it was simply evidence of them engaging in a common practice there would be no need to destroy them. And there were reportedly many, many tapes. A roomful of them. Goodell, new on the job, protected the leauge. And I believe that's why he came down so hard on them for deflategate. And once again, Kraft didn't fight him, accepted the penalty. Until the fans made him complain about it. But he still took it.

I think what RLLD is saying is belichick tried out the dark side of the force thing where he waved his hand and said to the referee “that was a fumble.” Then holy sh1t it actually worked! and ever since then Bill has gone full Emperor Palpatine. Once you get a taste...

He would've said "It's not a fumble"

I know pats fans didn't watch football back then, but you'll need to know that to pretend you've been a fan since way back.

Sure thing. You've never survived one though. From the moment you hopped on in Feb 02 it's been rolling nothin but wins.

I survived -30 deg temps on the aluminum benches at Sullivan in 84. Also survived going to the front row sports bar in lawrence to catch the games on satellite in the 80s.

But hey whatever helps guys like you and mdc cope. Ill survive....you guys, by the crying I've been witnessing,  im worried about.

How have you survived knowing you root for a Jersey team who tries to pass themselves off as a new york team ?

This is correct. The Bills are the only "real" New York team.

Giants and Jets both have their stadium and offices on New Jersey.

They are new New Jersey teams in every sense but the name.

MDC grew up a Jets fan but he switched to fit in.  The only constant in his life is his love for the plump gals.

This is dumb.  East Rutherford, like many other NJ cities is really just a suburb of NYC.

Your team doesn't even identify with any specific city or state.  There are probably as many if not more Giants and Jets fans in CT as there are Pats fans.   And CT is part of New England.

Yup. Never forget the Pats were thisclose to being the Los Angeles Patriots. Or the Hartford Patriots. Lol.

The Redskins’ field is in Maryland, and their headquarters is in Asburn VA.

The team represents the DC Metroplex, which also includes DC, and parts of VA and MD.

Giants Stadium is closer to NYC than Rich Stadium is to Buffalo.

I only went off the top of my head.  I would suspect that there are more (KC, Denver, etc.)

All teams should do like the Patriots and Panthers and just claim a region of the country as their home.

Then we could have the Pacific Northwest Seahawks, the Mid Atlantic Ravens too!
