What is with The charity crap? If I won I would want to decide if I would give anything to charity and also what charity to give it to.

Hey grumpy, don’t get in if you don’t want to support the charity the survivor pool donates to.

The only hard decision in a knockout pool this year would be who to pick during the Dolphins bye week.

Freedom of choice -

if you know this going in, you don't have to play...

Of course I would never join a pool like this, I am wondering what type of person would?

The same way giving a few bucks to schools makes state run lotteries legit.

You get to pitch it to management as a fund raising event.  duh.

Anything that isn't a win should be an L.  Pretty sure that's how it works.

one can argue it is a knock out pool and how can you be knocked out if you didn't lose

You're picking a winner, not a tie. Why do people have to complicate easy things?

Why isn't it called a winner pool?

You get knocked out when the team you picked to win doesn't. Simple. Then again, people call super bowl boxes squares for some reason.

Do you use 3 dimensional paper? A square is a 2D shape. A box is 3D. HTH

You put things, like a number, into a box. You don't put anything into a square.   Square describes something. A box is something.

I was in 5.  Got knocked out of 2.  Had Seattle, Chargers, Ravens, Browns, and Bucs.

I'm in four. Had Ravens in two, LAC in one, and Philly in one.

One of them is triple elimination. Like fock. Everyone will still be in at the end.

Ouch.  Triple?  I don't even get into any that give you a buy-back option after week 1!  Wait, that's not true.  The one where I took the Chargers is a fund raiser.  That one is a $50 pool with a $25 buy-back option in the first 4 weeks, $50 option from weeks 5-8, $100 option in weeks 9-12, and $200 option from weeks 13-16.  You can only buy-back one time though.

You didn’t pass geometry then. I tried to give you “some reason” but never expected you to understand.

Everyone! Without rules nothing would happen. I am calling BS on this thread, you obvious have never played.

i have played in pools that treat a tie both ways but it is IN THE RULES!

No you didn't. And it looks like you failed English. No shame I failing geometry, but English? Stoooopid

No shame I failing? Quit making yourself look worse on this subject.

Yeah you passed nothing, as I expected. I am done giving math lessons to a teenage girl

nospk is correct; a square can be a noun and is a 2D structure.  A box is 3D.  You should stop now.
