Female Wage Gap Monopoly

Recommended Posts

Women make less because they are weaker and are more likely to miss work. They are also more emotional and complain about sexual advances.

If Hasbro wants to focus on helping girls they should invest in making improvements to the Easy Bake Oven.

I would buy this to keep in stored away somewhere.  One day this thing should be worth something.  It's like when a company puts out a product that is a mistake, eventually that sh!t is worth something to a collector.

We know that the "wage gap" narrows to almost zero when taking into account life decisions, but I believe that there is still a gap.

One of the key areas where the behaviors between men and women diverge the most is in agreeableness, specifically tender mindedness, occurring more often in women; leading them to be less inclined to challenge and argue for better compensation.(1)

The life choice that is known to have the most profound impact on the earnings for women is that of child-rearing, often muting both their earnings and long-term arc in compensation growth. (2)

In short, women tend to place a higher priority on life outside of work whereas men place a higher priority in their hierarchical place at the expense of life outside of work.

There isn't a gap that is bias though. based on gender.  The gap is voluntarily created.  Also, the gap is almost non-existent when comparing like-jobs, based on HOURLY rates.  If a man and woman both make $10/hr, but the man makes more money at year's end... it's because he worked more hours, not because he's a "man".

Correct.  The issue is no longer systemic nor is it driven by any factor other than personal decisions on the part of the individual.

Women have seen a really dramatic improvement across all measures for the last 30 years, but fanatical elements of social movements want to ignore this lest they be rendered useless....

"Wage gap" talk is pure socialism. Every job pays exactly what people are willing to take.  And it has nothing to do with gender.

Yeah, I think there are definitely reasons outside of discrimination for the difference. I wouldn't call it a "gap" because that suggests it's just straight up inequity.

And I wonder how many women buy into the gap idea/keep it in mind, as I don't think it's as many as portrayed. I just resent how it creates resentment from different angles.

The left is fervent in its desire to both categorize people and then divide them, pitting people against each other is pure leftist dogma.

Which is really all they have left, to stay relevant.
