WR waiver wire question

Recommended Posts

I've got the chance to pick up one of the following:

Sammy Watkins

Marquise Brown

John Ross

Thoughts? TYIA
(non ppr)

I may be a KC homer but that's a no brainer, especially with Tyreek due to miss some time

FWIW and I'm assuming if Watkins is available this guy is too but I'd keep on eye on rookie Terry McClaurin

I don't know... I can't imagine why anyone would have wanted to draft Brown or Ross... on purpose, in any league.

No, not a work league.

There's a very good reason why all three are currently on waivers. I'd break it down for you, but I doubt it would change you or raiderhaters mind.

All 3 are #2’s on their respective teams.

fwiw, I'll break it down. 23 year old league (not that it matters)

10 team league
Must draft:
QB x2
RB x3
WR / TE x4
K x2
Def x2
Flex x1 (not a starting position, but an extra whatever you want kinda thing.)

We don't do playoffs. Straight head to head.
Every pick up or "rental" costs $5.00.
Every dollar for the pick ups / rentals goes into the playoff pot.

We re-draft for the NFL playoffs with a non serpentine draft with the last place team in the regular season getting pick 1, pick 11 etc...

Since we are so restricted with our rosters on ur initial draft, there will always be tons of "quality"  (I use that term loosely) free agents available for pick up or rental every week.

The fun part is that we get to play to the end, and get to play through the playoffs.
The sad part is (for me, anyhoo) is that even though we go through RT Sports, as commissioner, it is set up so that they have to call me for every move.

Kinda cool, though.  It's worth it.

You lost me at NON PPR. Dammit SUX, non PPR doesn't matter anymore!!!!!!!!! Having said that, Watkins is the only answer for a boom or bust bench WR

I didn't get Watkins. I get home and had 6 calls for peole wanting Watkins .Guess I scored too many points in my loss.

I did, however, drop Mike Williams and pick up Brown.  Like anyone cares.

Also, I really appreciate all the comments and suggestions in this thread.  Seriously

Is this the league that you have youtube vids of the draft?  Not that I've ever sat and watched for an hour.  :ninja:

Doesn't mean they're good or have a good team.  How many people drafted Miami's #2 WR?  Not many.   Washington's?  Probably less.

If you'll notice in my first post, I purposely left out Watkins.  Their offense is good.  Cincy and Baltimore's isn't really known for being effective passing offenses.
