Strike 3,957 Posted September 11, 2019 Do you plan to watch sports? The last time I went there for work, which was probably about 10 years ago, I wanted to watch some sports. I can't believe, as one of the biggest cities in the world, how few sports bars there are in NY. I had to take the subway to times square to go the ESPNZone several nights to catch games I wanted to watch. So, if sports matter to you, plan accordingly. IGotWorms 3,310 Posted September 11, 2019 I am by no means an expert but been there a few times and there are a LOT of good options. And while a few are super expensive most of them are usually somewhat reasonably priced (in this day and age) since there’s so many to choose from. Bryant Park Hotel was great, I liked that one a lot. Big rooms, feels very private even though you’re right in the thick of it. The Wagner at battery park had HUGE rooms and pretty nice. Drawback there is you’re at the very southern end of Manhattan. So convenient to one World Trade Center, 9/11 memorial, Statue of Liberty etc but not very convenient for much of anything else. A couple others I’ve started at that I can’t recall off the top of my head but very nice and no more than $400 per night.

Bier Meister 1,513 Posted September 11, 2019 Shazam! I once stayed when I was with an affiliated hotel for $60/n. The other 2 times I was no longer with the company and it was around $250-300.

I never stayed there, but we used to have drinks in the lobby pretty often. This hotel is where the members of the Algonquin round table met for lunch daily back in the 20’s. http://www.pbs.org/wnet/americanmasters/the-algonquin-round-table-about-the-algonquin/527/ There’s likely still a cat roaming around in there.

At least year in year out during this amazing run, we have hope and a chance. Jersey giants fans not so much. In fact theyve never even mustered a run in their history. Just a few scattered catch lighting in a bottle buccaneer like seasons. I can see why you guys are like you are. Has to be tough when the majority of your seasons youre only rooting for a high draft pick. Hang in there kid 2025 is right around the corner.
