If it counts, grilled octopus. 🐙

If not, any mild fish - catfish, red snapper, mahi mahi, etc. preferably blackened. 🐟

Edit: Forgot to add yellowfin tuna steak. 💕

Flounder, Branzino, Halibut.   Salt, pepper, garlic, lemon and butter.  Also like a light sauce with various herbs.

Anything I catch myself.  In the winter, give me perch through the ice.  Firm, flakey, sweet white meat.  Summer time Walley is my go to.  🎣

I'm open to most any fish if it's fresh.  The Mahi Mahi I had in Puerto Vallarta was probably the best fish I've ever had.  I also had really good salmon in Seattle.

Perch is the big thing around here and fresh trout is delicious. Coho, King and Chinook salmon are regularly caught up this way, but none of these are as good as saltwater fish.

Farther north, walleye and Lake Superior whitefish are pretty decent.

Agreed with the fresh caught, that makes all of the difference.  Love all kinds.

shellfish, salmon, and seared ahi are kinda different IMO than "regular" fish. Love them.  My wife's goto way to cook a big strip of salmon is on a cedar plank on the grill.  It's like smoked salmon and it's awesome.

Sea bass is my favorite "regular" fish.  Like MDC I tend to the lighter, flakier fish.

Had a cajun trout last night at a restaurant, it was quite good.

Most fish I eat is fresh water fish that is caught in local waters.

Walleye, northern pike, perch, catfish, bluegill, crappie and trout.  I'm going on a fishing trip next week and will be eating plenty of northern and bluegill.  Can't wait.

Don't really like it so I don't eat it really ever.  Grouper and halibut if you put a gun to my head.

Not much love for Flounder here.  Easily my fave

Bluegill for freshwater.

Eat more tuna than any other fish combined though.

I'm headed to Lake of the Woods on the Canadian border on Tuesday for a guided trip with five of my buddies.  We'll catch over 100 walleye trying to get our limits with in the slot.  World class fishing up there.

Sockeye salmon, king salmon and steelhead trout.

How I prepare it varies but generally not a lot more than a little salt, pepper, olive oil and lemon juice or lemon zest. With the steelhead I tend to add a bit more like rosemary and garlic, or maybe herbs de Provence 🙃

Used to be rainbow trout. But I swear, the damn fish has changed. It used to be flaky white , now it's more like pink and not as firm.

Flounder(especially w crab) striper, fried catfish in a real southern cornmeal, crappie, dolphin, whatever tuna we happen to catch on a Gulf Stream trip, spanish mackerel, bluefish.

Funny thing is, that Ive caught thousands of largemouth bass and never eaten a single one.

Not a food guy, usually over-cook everything. Wife brought home a salmon so I grilled it for whatever time... it was fantastic! Same with the next salmon.  Feeling better about my skills.

Listening to NPR radio a few months later...  "Want the easiest food to cook? Try salmon! Can't undercook, can't overcook!"

Guess I still can't cook. But the salmon is good.
