Herbivore 905 Posted September 13, 2019 Two Tickets is one of the all time greats. He always seemed like a good guy. Love that quote at the end of the article.
Big Guy 1,400 Posted September 13, 2019 What a character, he'll be greatly missed. In 1980 He & Pat Benetar played a small County Fair and since the weather was bad, there was only a crowd of about 200 or so. Which made it easy to get close to the stage. Even though it was a crazy ass thunderstorm they both played the show and we all had a fantastic time.

vuduchile 1,941 Posted September 13, 2019 RIP Eddie I might have mentioned this during the music drafts. Eddie absolutely hated his biggest hit. The record company gave him the song and he didn’t like it. Even refused to sing the “be my little baby” part. So, he brought Ronnie Spector in to sing it and it ended up a big hit https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-1986-12-18-8604040709-story,amp.html
nzoner 936 Posted September 13, 2019 I'm assuming most know this fact about Eddie but it's crazy to think he was a Brooklyn police officer before becoming a rock n roll star.

He was born in 1949. He stopped being a cop in 1968 after two years? So he was a cop when he was 17? He was a trainee, or what they call a cadet in most places.
