What is your favorite play in football?

Recommended Posts

It infuriates me every time I see it, but NE's fake WR screen that turns into a regular pass play is a thing of beauty.

I would like the Hook & Lateral a lot more if people weren't always calling it the "Hook & Ladder" out of ignorance.

Flea Flicker is the first thing that came to my mind. Too bad we don’t see it enough.

It's the Flea Flicker for me.

You guys?

I'd probably agree, as far as designed plays.  If done right, they are hard to defend.

The other thing(s) I enjoy is watching a QB in the huddle start calling backyard plays.  Where they will sort of just say "You go here, you run there...."  Throw the playbook out the window and let the QB show what he's learned over his lifetime.  Some of the best plays end up coming from those scenarios.  When Rodgers hit Cook on that pass that beat Dallas a couple years ago, he said afterwards they drew that up in the huddle.  It was one of the best passes I have ever seen a QB make.

That is annoying.  I wasn't big enough to play in high school, but I at least got to practice.  lol  Our Coach always called it the 'Hook & Ladder' and tried to say it was called that because the offensive line was supposed to be the Firetruck that couldn't be moved.  Yeah, in my 4 years, we won two games.  If you don't know the name of the plays, maybe being a Coach isn't for you....

2007 Boise State's Hook N Ladder followed by their Statue of Liberty play is probably the play calls and execution I've seen in those scenarios.

I like the one where the guy catches the ball with his helmet.

Pick Six !

If the offense Was in the red zone. It’s a 10-14 point swing.

Unless their is a missed fg, or, even a fake fg try that doesn’t work.

I just took the toughest loss of my life, and within seconds my first instinct is to kiss my mommy and hooker girlfriend. SOFT. Is that scrub still even in the League?

I right 36 belly.  An old power I play that probably hasn't been seen in the NFL seen the 50's.  My 70's high school team still ran that offense and our FB was brutal!  I was the right tackle and I loved running that play!

Used to enjoy watching a good wishbone in college ball.

I don't know what it's called, I just know the sound it makes when it scores.
