edjr 5,443 Posted September 18, 2019 1st time in NFL history 2 teams are favored by 20+ the same weekend Sad state of affairs for the nfl. this tanking sh1t is pathetic.
posty 2,285 Posted September 18, 2019 Kind of surprised that Vegas is even putting odds on the Dolphin games... I mean if it is true that they are tanking (though they won't admit it), Vegas shouldn't bother...

Mike Honcho 3,934 Posted September 18, 2019 In New Jersey, a Dolphins/Jets parlay(both moneyline) will pay off 350 to 1, 100 bucks will win you $35,000.

They flat out said that their team wasn't going to win and that they need to go in a different direction. That they need to acquire more talent. The best way to do that, is to get draft picks. The best way to do that is to trade their good players... what few they have.

IGotWorms 3,248 Posted September 18, 2019 The Jets, sadly enough, are not tanking. Or at least that wasn’t their intent up til now. Poor bastards

Mike Honcho 3,934 Posted September 19, 2019 I think the real bet should be which team beats the spread by the most, Cowboys or Pats
dain11279 917 Posted September 19, 2019 Rosen starting for the Dolphins now instead of Fitzmagic, not that it matters
Hardcore troubadour 12,401 Posted September 19, 2019 I see the Patriots are starting Marshall Newhouse at tackle. Sheeez. I know Dante is probably the greatest OL coach in history, but if he can get that guy to play I'm going to have to re-evaluate Bellicheck.

JustinCharge 2,397 Posted September 22, 2019 I think it would be funny if the Jets accidentally went 0-16 while trying to win and beat out everyone else for that QB the dolphins want.

Well, the draft picks would be used to trade up to #1 in the event they don't get the #1 overall pick. If they can do neither, maybe trade the #1 picks in 2020 for #1 picks in 2021. Although that whole process is brutal on the fans.

Their team was going no where and was full speed ahead in that 'direction'. At least they know they have a direction and something to look forward too. I’m not anti tanking but this isn’t the NBA where one elite player is the difference between making the playoffs and being the worst team in the league. The Dolphins would be in contention for the top pick even with Tunsil and Fitzpatrick. I like the Minkah trade because Pittsburgh could end up with a top 10 pick. I like the Tunsil trade less because even ordinary LTs are at a premium. I guess we’ll see how it works out. Miami will need to spend its draft capital well.
