Saquon ROS - Trade?

Recommended Posts

I'm a Saquon owner in a 0.5 PPR and I'm a little concerned that the Giants have so few weapons and a rookie unknown QB that teams will zero in on Saquon and his numbers are going to be less that his usual stuff.

Theres a homer Giants fan in my league that has McCaffery and I've been pondering proposing a trade along the lines of Saquon + Tyrell Williams for McCaffery + Godwin/Tyreek.

Do you think Saquon is going to see a big uptick in carries/check downs with Jones under center or is he going to have a little more trouble going forward?

I think there's a pretty good chance that Daniel Jones does reasonably well--at least as good as Eli was doing--and you're not going to see much difference in Barkley's production.  If you're worried about Saquon scoring inconsistently, though, I'm not sure that the answer is McCaffrey, who has been the very picture of inconsistency through two weeks.  The bottom line is that they are both top 5 RBs for the season, so unless you can maybe swing Tyreek for Tyrell as a part of the deal (and I kind of doubt that you could, but maybe, if they guy is a big enough homer, as you say), I wouldn't worry about it.

Simply Barkley going into this season wasn’t worthy of the first pick in any format.

I would take Mccaffery and Godwin or T Hill for Barkely and T will any day.

And please if the other owner goes for it, let me know what money league that owner is in next season.

Ask the op.

The op is the one thinking about trading him away.

Thank you for the reply, appreciate it.

Why would I axe the OP when YOU were the one twirling your propellor beanie and suggesting that Saquon Barkley "wasn't worthy of the first pick in any format."

It's your nonsense; you defend it.

...And you're welcome.

He’s wasnt worthy of being the first round pick in any format.

And at the end of this season it will show.

Hey thank you for the reply on this issue, I appreciate it.

So you're just going to restate the nonsense, with no attempt to justify it.

Hey thank you for not digging your hole any deeper, I appreciate it.

When this season is over he won’t score enough ff points to be worthy of the first pick in any and all ff drafts.

Thank you for replying, I really do appreciate and enjoy the chat.

Hey good luck this weekend.

So no rationale, just a gut feeling?

Well, he's been worthy of it so far (top 5 through two weeks), and just got the QB upgrade we all knew he would get at some point, so time will tell...  but right now I'd say you have an extreme minority opinion.

He’s top five so far through two weeks I would agree.

Now I didn’t say he’s not worthy of a first round pick, but I said he’s not worthy of the number one pick.

And right now he is a top five, and that’s not number one.

Hey thank.

If the number one pick finishes among the top 5, then he was worthy of the number one pick, given that most of the other top 5 picks will not finish among the top 5.
