Armchairwarrior 3 Posted September 22, 2019 #2 TE pre-season under performing thus far and Deebo seems to be getting a lot of attention. Does he turn it around?
EternalShinyAndChrome 4,093 Posted September 22, 2019 I think he turns it around. However, I have him benched today but I also have Ertz.
AxeElf 787 Posted September 22, 2019 I think if you'd said "Kittle POS" you would have been closer to the truth.
DrG 103 Posted September 22, 2019 Last year production had a lot to do w injuries elsewhere with the 49ers. I don’t see him coming near his 2018 numbers.
jgcrawfish 232 Posted September 23, 2019 you need to check out his #'s to start last season. and he's averaging over 10 pts a game in PPR, so while not lighting the world on fire, I'll take the consistency over what's out there.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted September 23, 2019 He’s doing fine, no one should have expected another all time tight end season. He’s a steady difference maker and that’s all you can ask for at te.
weepaws 3,191 Posted September 23, 2019 Ertz and Kittle have about the same number of points, but I don’t see a tread complaining about Ertz.
Frozenbeernuts 2,257 Posted September 23, 2019 Week 1 was almost a monster week for him. I haven't been able to watch much SF since then, but I don't think Garoppolo is playing all that great. Nor is he just focusing on Kittle like Mullens did last year. This was the reason I was a little weary of drafting him. I would actually aim to buy low, but don't give up too much. Last week I offered Darren Waller plus some for Kittle, now it looks like Waller may be the more consistent guy. Carr loves throwing to his tight end
oldtimer 84 Posted September 23, 2019 Annnnnnnnnd, these posts are the reasons you don't draft TE's so high. Kittle should be fine, but the 49'ers didn't draft two WR's to continue using the TE as heavily as they did in 2018, so a large dropoff was to be expected. Even if he picks up his pace, he's still not hitting those 2018 numbers. TE was a VERY deep group this year with Olsen and Walker coming back and Waller being hyped up all preseason, yet in all my drafts, I would see Kelce, Kittle and Ertz being taken in the first three rounds while Olsen & Welker went undrafted or taken in the final rounds by me. Waller's ADP kept rising, so he was being drafted as a TE2 by most owners, but still after most everyone else. Kelce in Round One, Ertz & Kittle within 24 picks later. I'm of the belief if you can't stand a player, at least wait until he has a great game, and Kittle will have one, then trade him. Too many of these posts are people wanting to trade players after a bad week, or couple of weeks. NEVER do that. You lose when you do that.
DrG 103 Posted September 23, 2019 As a SF fan I think Kittle is great and agree w OT. I thought he would not come close to last years numbers and for that reason, was over drafted. If SF gets both Hurd and Coleman back I would really temper expectations.
