EFFF this-whatta joke..................

Recommended Posts

Had the first pick in our redraft league this year-Barkley................looks like that SOB is done for awhile-along with that slacker ODB, and Chubb too, but hey-I DO have Engram and Waller for TE's!!!!!!! Brady has done okay, but when you start out 0-3 after being rated the best drafted team it's kinda like you look up at the skies and ask 'WTF did I do to deserve THIS'? I'm tanking it against my friends in our league from now on but there's 2 guys that run the league that have failed to recognize 4 all time (our league is 25 years old) records I set in 2013 that'll never be broken that WILL get my best efforts. I guess some people like those 2 will never be able to take their @$$ kicking like a man. Eff them, I'll do my drafting (we all live within 60 miles) online next year. Just venting...........if you've read this far thanks and good luck to you.

PS-and at one time (about 10 years ago) I swore I'd never ever draft a NYG again-EFF Barkley!

Don't you know by now that being rated highly by a draft analyzer is the kiss of death?  I'd much rather be rated last than first.

Wow, being bitter is one thing, but being a poor sportsman and colluding with your friends is another.  If that were my league I would boot you out just for saying this.

I lost Barkley too but I'll pick up Gallman and start him or flex in DJ Chark or Deebo Samuel or Curtis Samuel, that's what a bench is for.

Wait...who or what rated you the "best drafted team"?  You do realize those are all opinions right?  I was rated a C+ draft on one team and am averaging 40 pt victories in all 3 so far.  Never forget, this is all educated guessing.

I’m also not sure why people get caught up in Yahoo grades/rankings/projections.

If you let that effect your life, you really are a fooking amateur.

This happens annually. The software tends to favor folks who picked early on in an average snake draft because their first few players should be doggone strong. Projections like those are regularly wrong because they’re slaves to ADP with no real way to try account for upside/downside. And duh, who knows when an ankle or elbow is gonna go?

And it’s a great way to trick yourself into thinking you know something that you d@mn well don’t. There’s always a Dalvin Cook, Cam Newton, Scary Terry, Lamar Jackson, Dak, and/or Baker to show us what we didn’t know. And now, we even get Daniel Jones freeing the Giants of Eli Manning in 1 game. Who called that in preseason?

Personally, Yahoo and ESPN usually hate all of my teams until about week 3 when it overcorrects and decides I’m never losing again. I try to remain unconvinced either way until about week 4 or 5. And even then, I’m not comfortable..always making moves, looking at the competition, and willing to take chances with trades.

How dare Barkley sprain his ankle! Doesn't he know there are fantasy owners counting on him? Have some priorities, Saquon!

I hate to toot my own horn, but I did draft Jones in two large superflex leagues as a cheap QB3 this preseason.  I just needed him to be starting by Week 5, when Stafford has his bye.

This is a fantasy site. And most of the NFL followers these days are made up of fantasy players. Gotta be more than 50%. The NFL is entertainment, not anything else. It's the same as a weekly drama or comedy show on television. FF is simply a game based upon that entertainment. The OP was just frustrated at the injuries on his team. That is a very real emotion when talking fantasy football.

In FF, who gives a crap about the players?  They fantasy owners care about their fantasy team.

For example. I didn't draft Antonio Brown this year, but if I did, I would be pissed that he is such a dumbass, but I didn't draft him so I'm actually glad to see him out of the NFL. I actually hope he never returns. I don't like that character in this movie.

I mean, I think getting mad at guys on your fantasy team is generally pretty dumb, but I understand where it comes from. But getting mad at a guy who got injured? :dunno:

Yeah, I get it. Getting mad at a guy who breaks his ankle in a game is different than getting mad at an Antonio Brown type.

Today I played Carson and Michel as my starting backs. I am not optimistic about my outlook this year. Maybe next week I play Jacobs and Singletary or Thompson.

An amateur?  Who exactly qualifies as a "Professional" in fantasy football which has become the ultimate casino and completely random.  Nothing you do matters.  Everyone has the same exact info these days.  Its 100% arbitrary & pure luck as to whether things work out or not.  The NFL has become fantasy UNfriendly over the last 10+ years.  Spread offenses, the concept of feature backs is mostly gone, WRs and TEs are a joke to try and pick, etc, etc.

But, ya'll PHD_level fantasy guys keep up the good work..... :D

  • Thanks 1

Took Barkley 1st overall. Took Hill with my 2nd pick. happens. That's FF for you. lol  I'll be 2-1 after this week. Either way, you don't win championships in the first few rounds of your draft.

I had the overall #1 pick .. and went with Kamara.  I figured teams would "load the box" with Eli as the starter.

It is too bad that his leg got twisted up while running along the sideline.  But, injuries happen in the NFL (see:  Drew Brees).  That is why you *should* draft for depth on Draft Night.

We don't have a flex, I'll have to put in Kerryon Johnson for Barkley.

I'm now 2-1 in the $250 league where I took Greg Zuerlein at 1.8 and the Chicago Bears at 2.5.

What's more, this week's victory came at the expense of the #1 ranked player at RT Sports, who also happens to currently be in first place in their $200,000 Fantasy Championship.

You win Championships by listening to Axe Elf.
