And in a Tuesday tweet, Waters took her criticisms a step further and said that Trump should be "imprisoned & placed in solitary confinement" over his frequent attacks against the intelligence community whistleblower who filed an explosive complaint against him.

That's how the Left works. If they don't like what you say, they want you silenced and eliminated.

Waters is actually saying she wants to imprison someone for what they say. How is this not front page news across the country?

She is basically saying, "get rid of the first amendment and let me throw someone in prison for saying something I don't like".

Fvcking communist.

I'm calling on the GOP to stop Trump's filthy talk of whistleblowers being spies & using mob language implying they should be killed. Impeachment is not good enough for Trump. He needs to be imprisoned & placed in solitary confinement. But for now, impeachment is the imperative.

He doesnt want him silenced at all. He wants the hack to  publicly make his claims.  Any normal good American should want and deserves to know who this guy/girl is and what they have to say.

Trump has a right to face his accuser. We have a right to know everything about the person who is trying to take down a sitting president.

In a strange coincidence, the dems recently (August) changed the rules for whistleblowers and removed the requirement that they have first hand knowledge of the information they are blowing a whistle on. Now, second or third hand hearsay, or completely made up lies, is enough to initiate an investigation.

No wonder Trump wants this person ID'd and forced to testify publicly. It's another dem manufactured crisis to undo the election.

You'd have to be a moron to still be believing anything the dems say about Trump. He won, get over it.

Can’t really blame the whistleblower since we don’t even know who his is and the POTUS is already saying he’s a traitor who should face the firing squad.

Dude is probably worried that some incel Trumper cultist is going to off him because of what Orange Jesus said.

That’s focking bullsh1t and you know it. Trump is a glorified mob boss trying to silence witnesses. It’s a classic mafia play straight out of the 1930s.

And he did it with the Mueller inquiry too, though he was smart enough to do it by proxy then. Now he’s desperate.

Wrong on all counts.

Dont you want to know who this person is that is trying to subvert our democracy and take down a sitting president?

I know that right now the person is a whistleblower and they are protected BY LAW.

Don’t you guys care about laws anymore? Or are those all out the window since they’re inconvenient for Trump?

The other thing I know is everything this person has said has so far been corroborated BY THE WHITE HOUSE ITSELF. You guys act like this is all just one anonymous guy’s word and that is purposefully highly misleading.

So now there’s an inquiry, akin in some ways to a grand jury proceeding which are secret, and then there will be an impeachment trial if articles of impeachment are returned. At that point, yes, I would think the whistleblower may have to testify publicly with Trump’s thugs threatening him and his family. Of course there will be lots of other evidence and witnesses by then and that’s exactly what Trump is trying to head off here.

What a patriot, that he’s willing to subject himself to threats, harassment and possible physical harm or death just to do the right thing. Yet another reason we probably ought to consider him highly credible just like the inspector general will.

Yeah, as of August when the rules regarding whistleblowing were changed.

In July, when the phone call actually took place, this guy/gal would have no legal standing as a whistleblower.

You'll have to excuse my skepticism regarding this person's credibility and the dem's motivation for launching another distractio.... er.. investigation.

Word is that Schiff actually had the complaint or KNEW about it before hand and that's why the rules were changed - to accommodate this specific complaint.

So, yeah, this is a dirty and corrupt play by the Dems.

Not true:

President Donald Trump and some of his defenders have advanced a bogus theory that whistleblower rules were changed to allow a complaint alleging misconduct by the president to be forwarded to Congress based only on secondhand information.

There was no such change in law or policy, according to a Sept. 30 statement issued by the independent Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community.

“In fact, by law the Complainant – or any individual in the Intelligence Community who wants to report information with respect to an urgent concern to the congressional intelligence committees – need not possess first-hand information in order to file a complaint,” the three-page statement said.

The ICIG statement also said that the whistleblower had “direct knowledge of certain alleged conduct” and that “other information obtained during the ICIG’s preliminary review supported the Complainant’s allegations.”

Looks like we'll have to look into who this ICGC guy is and his motivations.  Gonna have to know everything about this guy.

Sorry dems, if you never went ahead and weaponized the intelligence and justice department's with the whole manufacturing of the Russian collusion scam, we might have some faith and trust in ya. But ya did, and nothing you say, accuse of or claim trump did or didnt do can be taken seriously and must be verified with a thorough non partisan investigation of all those involved in making the accusations.  Which is being done now with the investigation into the origins of the probe.

Sorry you have no credibility whatsoever but you did this to yourselves.

If you read the entire statement you see that it does not say what the propaganda outlets claim.

Claim: no law was changed

From the statement: forms were updated

Lots of lawyerly shine on that statement, but it states that forms were changed. Talking point denied.

Nailed it...the whole rebuttal was just a bunch of mumbo jumbo that meant absolutely nothing.
