Sherzer has ANOTHER no hitter going today

Recommended Posts

truly insane right here

Max Scherzer dominated the Cardinals in Game 2 of the NLCS on Saturday, allowing just one hit and two walks over seven innings of shutout baseball.

Scherzer punched out 11 in the dominant performance. He didn't allow a hit until Paul Goldschmidt singled into left field leading of the seventh inning. It was just the second time in MLB postseason history that teammates have each carried no-hit bids through five innings -- and the first time that it had ever been done through six frames. The only other duo to accomplish the feat? Anibal Sanchez and Max Scherzer with the Tigers during the 2013 ALCS. Remarkable. Scherzer isn't slated to pitch again until a potential Game 6 in St. Louis on Friday -- that's if the Cardinals can rally in Washington and turn this into a series.

People who actually know baseball understand that it’s not cool to sit next to or talk to a pitcher when he’s in the middle of a no hitter.  And of course, it goes without saying that you don’t mention the no hitter while you’re playing in or managing the game.  Those unwritten rules exist because it’s not a good idea to interrupt a pitcher when he’s in that kind of zone.

Some people also believe these rules should be extended to the broadcast booth, but that has pretty much fallen by the wayside.

Anyway.  Anonymous message board posts have zero effect on a MLB baseball game.  Anyone who thinks otherwise is dumber than a box of White Sox.

Exactly. People that played know it only applies to teammates etc. anyone who thinks saying anything on a message board doesn't get it and probably didn't make it past little leauge.

Just a joke guys. Lighten up. Obviously mentioning it on a message board has no impact at all. Next time I'll put the smiling emoji so you know. đź‘Ť
