Urban areas spend more $ per student then elsewhere. Whats the problem here?

Some great hospitals are in sh!thole cities. By the way the crow flies, my state's best trauma center and cancer center is literally 1/4 mile away from deplorable housing projects where murders are common including a cop being shot in the head.

Also, you said white people move into black hoods to be closer to jobs.  Somethings not adding up.

That person just sounds whacked. No touch with reality. He/she is simply saying there are a whole load of people that shouldn't be responsible for themselves. When in fact, in the end, they are the only ones that should be responsible for their own fate in life. That is, unless socialism or communism actually kicks in. Then it's simply a fight to taking care of yourself in hiding.

Oh well. Some people just want successful people to take care of them and their lazy friends and family. What can you do? :dunno:

Quotes like the following have been heavily attributed to LBJ.  21st century Dems just arent as open with it like back in the day.

These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don’t move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there’ll be no way of stopping them."

Peenie, the AA community is in a perpetual state of victimhood and hopelessness. Why?  Because theyre continually told that literally and subliminally. When you feel like youre incapable of attainment that europeans and asians  have, youre stuck.  The political machine tells you that the racist boogeymen on the right are out to get you.  The Dems give you just enough hope to keep you sane and voting for them, all the while with their foot is on your throat.

Bidens little "slip up" here tells you all you need to know.

I don't have all the answers. I just know that in my slum neighborhood there were wonderful hardworking, law abiding citizens. They were not lazy, they were not bad parents, they were not committing crimes. Those that didn't have jobs, most were just unemployed, not that they weren't trying. Are there good for nothings? Yes, sadly, yes. I just believe that it's hard to see the impediments from the outside. I do agree, there is waaaaaaay to much discussion about things that don't matter. At this point, we need to focus on getting a good education and being competitive. I wish that was politician's platform instead of busing and police brutality and things that only create emotional reaction and do little else to help the masses that need lifting up. But you're right, too much victimization being peddled by the left. I agree...

Unfortunately, the poor don't have things to raise them out of a generational cycle of poverty like: access to good schools, quality healthcare and jobs.

I hear this a lot, it is a Liberal talking point but if access to good schools is a problem why do over 90% of Black voters continue to vote for the party that is against School Choice? This stuff just doesn’t make sense to me, can you explain it?

If you are perpetually poor in this nation you suck with money, basically. No other nation on earth rewards hard work and self discipline like this one. The access to socioeconomic movement is there, but it only rewards toughness and a dedication to self improvement

Michelle just proved that you can still blame white people despite the fact you have every possible advantage.  Shows she cares about people she has nothing in common with except skin color.

The Obama's are worse than anyone in history when it comes to how they treat black people. Pushing their politics and social agendas only isolated black people and put them mentally in a worse position than ever before. He got them more than ever wanting from the government rather than making smart choices for themselves in their own lives.

Of course not all black people fall for their schtick, thank goodness, but holy cow, anyone who looks up to them in their mansions and hangs on every word they say are simply setting themselves up to be alone, broke, and angry. And overcrowded.

Why are there people out there that want to be controlled by the government?

She went to a magnet HS, to Princeton and Havard Law even though neither of her parents went to college.  Her dad was a municipal worker and her mom alternated betwen being a stay at home mom or a clerk at a catalog store.    Her husband was born to a single mom and dad took off at an early age.    His white grandparents helped raise him and supported him.    He rose from meager beginnings and attended Columbia and Harvard Law.   Went from being a community organizer to US Senator.

But at no point throughout all of that time, until we all saw the light and elected her husband president, did she ever feel any reason to be proud of her country.   Not even when she got promoted from a "director of community affairs" for a city hospital to a VP position and making $350K/yr shortly after her husband was elected a state senator (clearly coincidence).   I am proud that our country is a place where it's no longer whitey who gets all the grift, anyone can do it!

The "1st time I've ever been proud of my country'" statement I cannot forgive.   If she had been subject to a lifetime of racism and denial of opportunity, I'd understand.   But to have the life experience she's had and then say that?   Well then you are just another brainwashed idiot who can actually ignore their own experience and spout "whitey and the US keeping us down".   Yup, I'm good.  I have no interest in hearing anything else you have to say.   You have attained positions of elite prominance, people look up to you and put weight to what you say.   And you use that position to poison the minds of those that listen to you with this crap.   To me that is not only wrong, it's evil.

Hey Michelle, good news. I am proud enough of my country for both of us, I have a surplus of pride for my country!    Because it is a place where you and your husband can achieve mind-boggling levels of success even though you don't appreciate it at all and bad mouth it at every turn.    Where else you gonna be able to do that?

  • Thanks 2

Plus, she's conflating 2 separate scenario's and incorporating one singular reasoning.  She thinks that the migration of black people into white area's is causing the white people to leave.  That's not true.  The reason is because black people will vote Democrat and those Democrats put in policies that those people don't want... so they move.  It's not THAT, they are black, it's how they vote.

I don't think so.

Each culture places value on differing things.

The "white" culture places value on.....well, value.....one of the biggest investments we make in our life is real estate....our home....  as a result we see the home as an investment that must be maintained, this is not true for all "white" people of course, but it seems to be true to a large extent.....this is not a dominant value in the AA community that derives prestige from things like the car one drives or clothing, these are areas of sunk money that do not return tangible value.

As a result one might disdain a neighbor that does not share the same values.

In the area's SHE's moving too?  I don't think that's the case.

I keep hearing that there are no people in the middle class.  The Left tells me that all of the black people are poor.  Well, if that's true, then poor black people are moving into poor white neighborhoods.  There's no value in those areas to move away from.

I live in an area where there's plenty of black people.  We're higher than the national average.  Our area still votes Red.  I assure you, the second it moves blue, most of the white people are out.  It has nothing to do with the black population as people, but how they vote.

You and RLLD may be right.  I've never lived in those areas.  White people never left when we got black neighbors.

I think the left twists the narrative as it serves their immediate need, and typically they lack actual understanding or a long-term goal.

Michelle Obama has on occasion shown us her true self, and I think she is a racist. It would be hard to be mad at her, she was manipulated all her life and now believes horrible things.  There is little distinction between some such as her, AOC, Omar and some right-wing nut in a white outfit.....both are equally vile and hide behind indefensible notions of morality.

Matt Damon just bought a 16.5 million dollar townhouse in Brooklyn Heights. The crime rate there has plummeted over the last 30 years. How does anyone think that happened? The bad guys just stopped being bad on their own? Why have the demographics in Brooklyn changed so much? Same a-holes that now attack the police. Where were all of you when the crime was so high?

I really could not care less what color a person is. I really don't. But I also know probability, culture and different evolutionary characteristics between some races. I don't pretend those things aren't relevant.

There are factors born out by statistics, others born out by personal experiences.....if leftists that use personal truth as fact, then so can I

I don't think anyone is inherently better than anyone else. I just think white people perpetuate western values and culture better. I think all groups do this with their respective culture. Not necessarily better, just different.

They call the beach where black people go on Martha's Vineyard the "Inkwell". I'm not joking. Affluent blacks have even embraced the term as a badge of honor.

So I guess whites are running away from blacks, but certain black people are running away from high crime rates.

Interesting how they just happen to overlap at an amazing percentage.

I grew up in a typical suburb.  A Jamaican family moved next door - 2 kids about my age.  I was excited.  Didn’t even think about them being black.  First day I went over there to play the mom asks me, “Hey are there any black families in the neighborhood?”  I thought they were hoping there were.  When I answered yes I was surprised And confused to see how upset they were about it.  Even after my mom explained it to me I couldn’t understand it.
