Could the Sackler family (Perdue Pharma) be charged with murder?

Could that be a thing? Just curious. I mean they basically manufactured the opiod epidemic killing hundreds of thousands of people in the process. It was a intentional  poisoning of America. If I did this to 3-5-10 people I would go to prison and maybe death row. Kill in great numbers and you are immune because you hide behind a company name? So it would have been OK for hitler as long as he was Hitler CO.? Give me a focking break.

What has happened with the opiod crisis and its detrimental affects on our country are the best arguments against legalizing hard drugs. Because this crisis eminated from these drugs being distributed legally.

Soooo. I think that is a little over simplified. If you said here is a pile of coke. If you do this pile of coke your toe is going to feel better from bashing it on the nightstand. Not a lot of people are going to take ya up on that offer. 

 

However when you have a generation of doctors that have been bought and sold for in trinkets and golf telling you to take these pills it takes on a different type of evil.

I agree. But when the call to legalize hard drugs is made, I offer that we did already. And what we got was this crisis.

Murder would imply they had an intent to kill. What we have with the opioid crisis is a bunch of weak people with not will power.  I’m glad they are all dead.

Many injured people needed pain medication to deal with chronic pain.  Often opiates were prescribed in massive volumes to aid in alleviating the pain.  These people had zero choice but to become addicted.

My mrs'(36c) pain doctor(she has severe RA) told her recently that if he found any form of THC in her blood test he would have to fire her as a patient and yet he has no problem giving her prescription after prescription .I told her it was time to fire him but to no avail.

Misinformed about what? The fact we waste millions upon millions of dollars trying to save junkies that are better off dead? I don't care if its heroin, alcohol, or porn - If you cannot put it down that is a YOU problem that boils down to YOUR weakness. That is so short sighted. The idea of some junky in the ally is not what we have here. These are real people who were  given hard core drugs by their trusted medical professional and then when it runs out they are given NO WAY to get off of them. literally NONE. If you call and ask them at the most the people who got you addicted will REFER you to a drug rehab program that will almost assuradly have a 3 MONTH waiting list. 3 months. For a junky that wants to get clean...from an addiction given to them by their nice doctor who will now not return their calls.

I would not have even blinked when I told him to get .

When I was 23 I got a new doc. She was asking me all types of questions and I decided what the hell. I would tell her I smoked pot at the time. She left the room. Came back like 10 mins later and asked me if I had any guns in the house. Um...yes..I am a an American and I am a hunter. She leaves again. Comes back in and asks me if I ever get high and play with guns. 

Like they are toys. Dude I have handled all typed of guns over the years from a BB gun all the way up to a Browning machine gun I got to shoot at a range and all types of things in between. I love to shoot. Its fun. I am a super safe person when it comes to guns. I looked right at her and said it was nice meeting you. We won't be doing this again and walked out. It was a family practice so I just told them I would not accept being seen by her anymore.
