naomi 343 Posted November 9, 2019 I guess I'm pretty "old fashioned" but I'm definitely disturbed by men sharing the can sizes of their family members for other men, especially when it's their daughters. My automatic reaction is "what a POS" but to be fair, for those of you that do it, do you think your can-outed family members wouldn't really care? Honestly if I found out my dad did that, I would lose a ton of respect for him and be a little weirded out by him for ever after. He's a laid-back person but he has a decent sense of propriety. So for me, culturally speaking, it's just a very weird and foreign thing. Maybe in some families it'd be a complete non-issue Years ago I'd have to assume that family was therefore low brow/a bit sleazy all around, but it's like culture has a much more diffuse sleaziness now.
