It's quite sad when anybody dies

but other than the 1 hit they had, what's the big deal? :dunno:

I mean I've seen it 20 times today, musically this is quite trivial in the scheme of things

Really sad.  Was always a Roxette fan.  They had way more than one hit btw Big Guy.  I knew she had been treated previously but thought she was in remission.  Didn't know it had returned.  RIP.

Uhhhh.  One?  LOL.

In just the US:
4 - #1s
6 - top #10s
10 - top #40s

Also....

CNN Article...  https://www.cnn.com/2019/12/10/entertainment/marie-fredriksson-roxette-death-scli-intl/index.html

ends with the sentence "Things Will Never Be the Same" --- which is one of their songs, but not a hit.

"Listen to Your Heart" is the only memorable Hit to this avid music fan, and even it is pretty weak.

They're up there with the likes of Scandal & Milli Vanilli in my book.

Is there some alternate ghey music universe that I'm unaware of?

No, but if you're not interested you don't have to post in this thread.  You can try not being a d*ck for once.

Very underrated band, she had a great voice.

Always wondered if she were really David Bowie in drag.

Sorry to hear it.  Roxette's songs aren't in my library, but I am aware of several.  They're not bad, just not something I seek out.

Sorry Bud.....sure that's the music I value most, but I know and enjoy so much more than that. But yeah it's true, I don't value shallow AM fluff. I was probably listening to great music while this stuff was on Casey Kasem's Top 40 or American Bandstand.

BTW......is Newbie in the House?

I'm not saying they'll go down in the annals of music history but to say "they're up there with the likes of Milli Vanilli" is IMO shallow.

Your opinion is that 10 top 40 hits, and 4 #1s isn't "much"?

We are all entitled to our opinions.
