The helmet to helmet his was minimal but it propelled his head into the ground at a faster rate, I'll bet that the ground is what caused the concussion. I've seen much hard, dirtier hits, but it surely should have been called, was it?

No flag on the play---probably tomorrow or Wednesday, the league will announce any fine, mistake by officials.

Eagles were playing with house money and weren’t as good as Seattle even with Wentz so I’m not going to say the Clowney got changed the outcome, but it was cheap.

Wentz is going to the ground when Clowney hits him. I know the defender can’t always hold up but he also led with and hit him with the crown of the helmet. He will certainly get fined and deserves it.

I hope GB pushes Seattle’s shiit in next week.

Wentz was in his normal clueless lost idiot mode. He was a runner, the hit was legal and clean.

Wasn't much there, that's why there was no flag in real time. Wentz is a runner at that point.

There will probably be a fine but, it's mainly to appease the masses.

Clowny would be doing hard time if he hit Brady like that.

Brady would have stayed in the game.

If it was a serious offense, he would be suspended next game. We both know there is zero chance than happens.

So, laugh all you want fella.

Nope. He would have laid there grabbing his helmet until a flag was thrown like a good vet qb. Then he would've been benched due to concussion protocol like Wentz was

Nope

Brady is a tough bastard, proven over 20 years.

Wentz is a fragile glass jaw proven over what 4 years now ?

Science bro, cannot be argued.

It's true. I remember when the Giants were man handling him in the Super Bowl, ragdolling him up and down the field, and he kept getting up. Drobeski won this thread.

Became a doctors decision because whaaantz is a poosy who laid there hoping to get yanked. Tommy bounces up, yells at clowny and gets back to work. We know this, we've seen it.

Do you really think Brady is gonna go be involved with that junkie Irsay? Kraft and his handies is one thing, but Irsay is a complete buffoon. Plus Indiana? Gisele? No. And keep in mind what a dysfunctional mess the Chargers have been forever.

Tom can’t ever leave or the PED stuff and cheating all gets out. The Pats are like an organized crime family. He’s in it for life. :(

1. There have been 49 AFC Championship games played.
2. Of those, the Patriots have won 11, the Broncos have won 8, and the Steelers have won 8.  Those 3 clubs have combined for 27/49 AFC titles, or 55%.  OVER HALF of ALL AFC titles have gone to 1 of those 3 clubs.
3. At least ONE of those 3 clubs have appeared in the last NINE AFC title games. (the last time none of the 3 appeared was 2009 Colts/Jets)
4. At least ONE of those 3 clubs have appeared in 16 of the last 18 AFC title games. (starting with 2001)
5. At least ONE of those 3 clubs have appeared in 21 of the last 25 AFC title games (starting with 1994)
6. At least ONE of those 3 clubs have appeared in 34 of 49 AFC title games.
7. 7 AFC title games have been between 2 of these 3 clubs (97, 01, 04, 05 ,13, 15, 16)
8. ALL 3 clubs are already eliminated.  NONE made the final 4 in the AFC this year.  The last time this has happened was 2009 (Colts, Ravens, Jets, Chargers)

So the bottom line is this AFC field of Ravens, Chiefs, Titans, and Texans is pretty unique.

The last time none of the Patriots, Broncos nor Steelers made the playoffs is 1999.  Your AFC field was

1. Jaguars (with Mark Brunnell)
2. Colts (with Peyton Manning)
3. Seahawks (with John Kitna)
4. Titans (with Steve McNair) (the music city miracle was Titans / Bills this year)
5. Bills (with Rob Johnson)
6. Dolphins (With Dan Marino and Jimmy Johnson) (this was both Marino's and Johnson's final NFL year.  Their final win was a playoff game at the Seattle Kingdome 20-17 over the Seahawks. Their last game was a 62-7 blowout at the Jaguars)

This year still stands as the last time none of the 3 made it because the Patriots qualified for the playoffs this year.

Heard yesterday on local sports radio that this years divisional round features 7 new teams and only 1 return team from last season.I didn't get to hear the rest but would have to think that's somewhat rare.

So the other day Belichick was giving his end of year press conference. Some moron reporter asked him something like “what do you have to say to the patriot fans who have stood by the team through thick and thin?” BB said “ I don’t think there has been too much thin around here”. Brilliant. And that was it, that dopey reporter was left in the dust. He doesn’t say much, until he says a lot.
