Titans @ Chiefs: AFC Championship

Recommended Posts

This one seems pretty obvious..... Can Henry do enough to work the clock and keep sideshow bob off of the field?

I think kcc takes it.

Explosive vs Punch you in the focking mouth. Should be a great game.

Titans won earlier in the season 35-32 in a crazy game.

I could easily see that being true. Except the two long tds. We almost never give up explosive plays like that.

That will be the game plan I'm sure. Mahomes is going to get his. But make him do it the long, slow hard way. Increases the chances for a turnover. Bend but don't break, stiffen in the red zone. Make them settle for 3.

Meanwhile Henry does his thing. Shorten the game.

I really hope the Titans don’t win, Miss boy because I want a good SB and the Niners’ D will destroy that offense.

Titans Niners would be a great game. Old school football. Cause their offense would get stymied too.

I'm sure you're right. After Tom Brady, Lamar Jackson, and Patrick Mahomes, Jimmy focking garaffalo would be awfully scary.

I'm just saying it would be a hard nosed physical defensive style football game. I like those games. Wasn't talking sh!t or anything.

Tennessee’s O is so one-dimensional, I’d be shocked if they put up more than 10 against San Fran. I think that would be an ugly 17-6 type game.

Chiefs are the overall better team and a more interesting match up vs. the Niners IMO.

I can see why someone who has only watched the two playoff games would say that. It has been one dimensional in those two games. We had leads to protect and we have a superhuman freak at RB.

Tannehil put up almost 3,000 yards and 22 TDs this season, and he didn't play until week 7. We have plenty of weapons. AJ brown had over 1000 and is a legit Roy candidate. Corey Davis has been very quiet but is talented. Raymond is a speedster. Jonnu Smith is a very talented TE.

If you key too much on Henry, the passing game is quite capable of burning you deep.

In a hypothetical matchup with the 9ers, the defenses would both have the advantage over the opposing offense. Yes, sf has the better defense. I think put offense is as good or better.

I'd see that as a 17-21 type game, could go either way.

But hell, this season has already been a freaking dream. Never expected to even be in the dance when we were 2-4 under mariota. I'm just along for the ride at this point.

I hope you’re right. I don’t have any strong feelings about any of the remaining teams. I guess I’d like Big Red to get a title in KC if I had to pick. Mostly just rooting for good football.

My rooting list at this point...

Titans - never won a title. We've been around since 1959 for chrissake.

Distant second would be the chiefs. Reid deserves a title, and their fans are good folk.

The other two teams... Don't give a crap. Both have many titles.

I’d go:

1. Chiefs for Andy Reid and tolerable fans.

2. Titans - great Cinderella story.

3-4. Don’t care for the same reason as you. I guess I’d have a slight preference for GB.

The two nfc teams... SF fans are already getting very insufferable. And I don't like Rogers much. So screw em both. Go AFC.

I would love to see the 49ers win the title...  It would make Steeler fans more upset...

Henry definitely did his thing in our teams first meeting,23 for 188 and 2 td's which included a 68 yd td.

Spags is going to be working some serious OT this week.

Thinking of Henry reminded me of a bruiser KC had many years ago The Nigerian Nightmare,it also reminded me that every once in awhile that bruiser can be stopped

Sickness hits the Chiefs locker room ahead of AFC Championship

mad2.gif

Quote:
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WIBW) -- Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid says there is an illness going around the Chiefs locker room.

In a report from CBS Sports, running back LeSean McCoy and backup quarterback Matt Moore were not at practice Wednesday due to being sick.

Reid did not say what kind of sickness or if it was contagious.

While it is only two players, CBS Sports says “the fact that multiple players are dealing with an illness just days ahead of a conference championship game is noteworthy.”

Yeah. The Niners fans have gone from whiney 4-12 biches last year to outright Patriot fan level dooshbags in record time. Jimmy G has yet to be tested and let’s not forget Kyle was calling the plays when the Falcons collapsed against the Pats in the Super Bowl. Slow your roll.

I have the Titans at +4400 for $50 so that is my biggest concern since I can not root for PIT or against Balt or NE.

Where the hell did you find Titans +4400?  Is that to win?   Bovada has them at +265.

That was at a local casino before the NE game. They had to win 4 games at the time.  I could have done better online but I was there for a poker tournament so I just placed a bet for both them and KC at like +450.  One of them will be in.

I was supposed to go to Vegas with my folks back in August. Was going to put $100 on the Titans to go to the super bowl just for a lark. Didn't end up going because mom passed away.

Think the odds were 30-1 at the time. Wish I had that ticket. Lol

My Facebook memories keep coming up with tailgates from the last 9 years. Spoiled. Good luck to the Titans and Chiefs. I think it is the Chiefs’ year
