The Observer 641 Posted May 22, 2020 5 minutes ago, Intense Observer said: How fear, groupthink, drove unnecessary global lockdowns In the face of a novel virus threat, China clamped down on its citizens. Academics used faulty information to build faulty models. Leaders relied on these faulty models. Dissenting views were suppressed. The media flamed fears and the world panicked. That is the story of what may eventually be known as one of the biggest medical and economic blunders of all time. The collective failure of every Western nation, except one, to question groupthink will surely be studied by economists, doctors, and psychologists for decades to come. Pretty good summary of how China /WHO/Fauci types duped the world into shutting down over something barely more deadly than the flu. Flu kills between 24K-62K americans PER YEAR. Covid-19 killed over 58K JUST IN APRIL! With the country on lockdown. Most businesses closed. All schools closed. No concerts. No bars and restaurants. For the love of God, stop showing the world your intelligence by saying this is no more deadly than the flu.

Everyone knows Trump has moved on from this virus and is downplaying it. He's in full campaign mode and needs to change the narrative. Pelosi also knows that there's still over 20,000 new cases per day and 1500 people dying. It's a great, noble thing to do. Flying flags at half staff to commemorate all who have died. And their families left behind. If Trump says no, it further verifies that he doesn't have an ounce of compassion and only cares about himself. Nancy Pelosi Visits San Francisco’s Chinatown Amid Coronavirus Concerns Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi toured San Francisco's Chinatown Monday to send a message. She said there's no reason tourists or locals should be staying away from the area because of coronavirus concerns. "That’s what we’re trying to do today is to say everything is fine here," Pelosi said. "Come because precautions have been taken. The city is on top of the situation." Pelosi visited The Wok Shop, a temple and the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory, which was started 58 years ago by owner Kevin Chan's mother and uncle. The vast majority of deaths are from nursing homes. Quote The average length of stay before death was 13.7 months, while the median was five months. Fifty-three percent of nursing home residents in the study died within six months. https://www.ucsf.edu/news/2010/08/98172/social-support-key-nursing-home-length-stay-death The average is longer because of outliers; the median stay before death in a nursing home was 5 months. Basically, people die in nursing homes really quickly. And in this climate, if you had Covid or had Covid symptoms, and died, it was considered a Covid death. Hospitals have been incentivized financially to call them Covid deaths, and the government needs to prop up the numbers to justify the shutdown. Or perhaps you know a bunch of healthy people who died from it?

KSB2424 3,082 Posted May 22, 2020 The initial shutdown and stay at home orders were warranted and followed. Why? Because this virus was new and we didn't know exactly the full extent. Once it was apparent Covid-19 was not as deadly as we initially thought, once the curve was flattened, once we found out hospitals weren't close to being overrun, we should have opened back up. This was weeks ago. The elderly are by far the most at risk. Nursing homes should be the main focus. Other than that, life as normal with common sense protocols, hugging - kissing - handshakes to people outside of your family is stopped for a while. Good hygiene and common sense. Life must go on....... But the people are STILL in fear mode, the media cannot stop, its borderline criminal.
