Article is from 1997.  I'm sure things have changed since then.

I bet it is just as accurate today as it was then.

I think we'll need a study.  Maybe we can slip it in to a Covid relief bill?

Mississippi too.  I wonder what percentage of people will still wear them.  I won't judge the over 50 crowd if they do.

The fatties should keep wearing masks permanently ...covers up their fat faces.

Yep.

‘…the damage done by lockdown will exceed any saving of lives by a huge factor’

I would opine that it already has.  It will just take a long time to quantify the damage.

Public Service Announcement:  As states start to lift mask mandates, guess what?  You can still think for YOURSELF and wear a mask if you want too.  Or you can still not go out to eat.  The state government is just saying they aren't mandating you do so and to practice your own common sense.

Preach.

It's like they immediately go coughing in grandma's face and then complain that the government didn't tell them not to do it.

Yes, I will continue to avoid people, like before the pandemic and during.

First time in a year I am eating inside a restaurant. I cannot tell my wife, she will only eat using outside seating.

Ski hills make you pull up a mask when you get close to the lift which I do not understand. Why do you need a mask outside.

Although it is cold enough today where a winter face mask is alright.

Target says they will still require masks no matter what states say.

Once their stockholders see the drop in profits, they will buckle.

That's how it should be.  If they want to drive customers away, that's their choice.

Same here.  In Nov both my daughters tested positive, I tested negative, never got sick.

My wife didn't get it when I had it.  Not sure if this is normal, but when my wife gets sick, I don't get it.  When I get sick, she doesn't get it.  Works out kinda nice.

I don't think they knew. The press is so lazy and stupid they don't care to know.  They were feeding off each other, and what the network told them to say.

His order was on March 25.  There were some small outlets that called out his order early.  The same methods used to restrict info during the election, also silenced the few outlets reporting on Cuomo.  This is just one from May.

Maybe because he's a prime candidate for a dirt nap.

Every critical care specialist attending COVID-19 patients in the intensive care unit where I have been filling in as an intensive care physician for the past two weeks makes the same observation: Our patients seem almost universally obese, while most ill but stable patients elsewhere in the hospital have lower body masses.

Maybe the chinese are doing us a favor and you gotta believe the majority are D voters. fatties tend to vote D for free stuff. Seems logical the D leaders want to lock it down to save their voting base.

Amazing that 2% of the complications weren't drug related which is just like the 2% of deaths of people with covid weren't covid related.

CDC says, Mask mandates were associated with an average 1.32% decrease in the growth rates of COVID-19 cases and deaths during the first 100 days after the mask policy was implemented.

1.32% that's it. For as much attention as masks get all they "helped" was 1.32%. It's probably much lower because we know the flu and common cold is being miss diagnosed COVID.

Masks also lead people to engage in risker behavior because they thought they were safe. So yeah I'm betting we'd have less COVID infections if there wasn't a mask policy.

This study shows people who believed masks work. spent more time outside the house potentially being exposed and exposing others. In others words masks are a net negative benifit

Wow, this is interesting.

These are the kinds of studies that we need to have to know how Covid is *really* affecting us out there.
