If they aren't 100%, then why did they change the mandates and why are they changing them now?  Perhaps because that 95% you cling to is actually down to about 20%.

If you recall, they got some criticism for doing that in the first place.   But the decision was based on the fact that it was less likely, plus the fact that cases/deaths were going down so it was also less likely to be around someone else that had covid.    Note the CDC recommendation specifically says "if they are in an area of substantial or high transmission" so this sounds like it has more to do with that than anything - https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated-guidance.html

Correlation does not equal causation.    It's a fallacy to say "deaths rose when they started vaccinations" because "starting" vaccinations start out pretty small.  Unless there is proof that the people actually getting the vaccines were the ones getting infected, then those charts mean nothing.   I saw Berenson try to infer it from one study but it had a huge margin of error.

And vaccines didn't cause the Delta variant which is apparently the worst one right now, considering it started in India which was hardly vaccinated at all.
