This is moving the goalposts.  Again, staffing shortages aren’t due to covid restrictions and if they have anything to do with covid it’s because the potential workers don’t want to be exposed.  Wearing a mask isn’t a lockdown.   As cases continue to come back down mask requirements will ease.   I’m also against vaccine mandates but that’s not a lockdown either.  Sure, maybe you can argue you’ve had “freedoms lost,” but everything can be open if they can find the staff to open it.

60% out of 160k (100k), but there are like 30 million businesses in the US (keep in mind most restaurants never fully “closed”) so more like 0.3%, and many of them either closed because of the pandemic itself not necessary the restrictions, and many more probably would’ve closed soon anyway with or without the pandemic.

0.3% is still a lot of businesses, after all that’s not far off of how much of the country has died from covid.  Just pointing out that “60%” was an exaggeration.

My point was moreso that it’s not fair to say the businesses closed “because of lockdowns.”   Many businesses probably would have closed due to the pandemic regardless of what restrictions were in place.  Either that or they would have just had to accept sales being down ~50% for much of 2020.

I dont think anyone is claiming what anyone is.  Nor does it matter if anyone here is or isnt vaccinated.  If you think your vaccine works, then go for it, you are safe.  I am safe, I dont give a sh1t if anyone else gets covid and dies or doesn't die.  Everyone has that choice, and that choice is between them and their doctor
