It's already been disclosed that premiums are going thru the roof next year. These home test kits are simply someone's idea in order to pocket a lot of $. No way the insurance companies go along unless they are going to make $ on it.

California governor Newsom spoke on omicron.  He said what Biden said, that there will not be lockdowns because everyone will get vaxxed, again setting up this situation where he will say "oop, you dumb people didn't get vaxxed.  here is your lockdown"

Do you know what Trump's plan was? Reports are he negotiated with the Taliban (which gave them legitimacy and c'mon- he trusted the Taliban to honor their word) and not the Afghan government. 

But reality is- Trump had the right idea to finally get out of there. But again- regardless of whatever President was in office people were going to die. It didn't matter because the Taliban are not honorable trustworthy people and it was always going to be a mess. Hell the "trained" Afghan army gave up before the pull out of troops even started. A mild variant is a friggin' gift from nature. For low risk people, which is most of us, getting Omicron is an opportunity to further increase antibodies and build herd immunity. We shouldn't be doing anything to combat this from spreading amongst anyone aside from the high risk individuals. This whole thing continues to be manipulated and dealt with in the worst possible way. Of course that's by design so none of this is surprising.

We don't really know that it's any more mild than prior strains yet (hopefully it is).   ALL of the variants have been mostly mild.   But ~0.5-1% still adds up.
