Example: Samuel L Jackson’s character Valentine in The Kingsman. Too many people on earth which is killing the planet. His solution? Kill a good bit of the population to save humans and the planet

I don't think he was a "Villain".  Though, the story line is kind of Liberal vs Socialist.  You know, taxing everyone just because, with no real viable reason, then increasing it for selfish gains... then you have a guy stealing from those who have money and give it to those who don't.  Rather interesting.
