According to the poll, households with a higher level income, Republicans, and those that are married reported higher levels of satisfaction compared to lower-income households, Democrats and single people.

1) higher level income

2) Republicans

3) married folks

That's quite surprising to me.   The top states in median income are as follows:

1. Washington DC-  Blue 

2. Maryland- Blue

3. New Jersey- Blue

4. Hawaii- Blue

5. Massachusetts- Blue

6. Connecticut- Blue

7. California- Blue

8. New Hampshire- Blue

9. Alaska- Red

10. Washington-  Blue

 

Only 1 of the top 10 states in salary is Republican.

I think all it tells us is that people that make a lot of money are happier than people who don't make much money.  It doesn't really say if they are democrats or republicans.
